I am at a complete loss. DS is almost 21 months, and it seems like the older he gets the less he eats. He used to eat a lot at breakfast and then be really picky at lunch and dinner. We dont have a lot of junk food at our house and DS has always liked veggies, but now I cant get him to eat anything. His new thing is to take a bite, and then just spit it back out onto his plate. I have tried following him around constantly offering him bites but that doesnt work either. He is a very active child and already small for his age (4th percentile). I bought some pediasure to supplement, but I dont want to put him on a complete liquid diet. I dont know what to do! I am torn between just not giving him anything if he wont eat to teach him to eat when there is food, or giving him the pediasure to make sure he has something. Any ideas? Could this just be a phase I have to wait out? TIA!!!View Thread
Me (25) DH (26) Two amazing boys!! Aiden Brian 12/27/2008; Kade Nikolas 6/27/2010. 4 Angel Babies.
Im hoping someone has had something similar to this that can give me some advice. My son is 19 months old and very recently stopped sleeping through the night. He will wake up screaming like he is scared or in pain and refuses to go back to sleep unless DH or I take him into bed with us (or into the spare bedroom with one of us). I dont know if it is a phase he is going through or if maybe he is reacting to his new bay brother (who is 5 weeks old) or if it is a reaction to food? We have tried to just let him cry it out, but he cried for over an hour last night before we gave in. Should we have let him cry for longer? I am just at a loss for what to do about this, but I dont want him to get in the habit of sleeping with us. Any help, suggestions etc would be greatly appreciated!View Thread
