I have a huge problem with this. I have a serious sweet tooth and going cold turkey does not work for me. I crave something sweet every day, so I live by the 80/20 rule of satisfying my craving. The 80/20 works by selecting a healthier alternative 80% of the time and given in to my craving 20% of the time. So, 6 out 7 days a week I will eat a piece of fruit or vegetable when a sugar craving hits and the one day I have available to eat something bad, I would eat a small portion of the sweet item(s). I hope this helps.View Thread
you need to eat small portions anything you eat.
you cannot eat lot of vegetables or chicken because it is healthy.
qty is very important. Once you finish your meal , you feel not full.
no food after 8.00 pm only water.
good luckView Thread
I usually buy chicken breasts, skinless and boneless and I cook it different ways except fried. The other day I put two breasts in a pan and put a little olive oil, added chopped garlic and green onions. Put the chicken in and used seasonings and some teriyaki sauce which added more flavor to the chicken. Since I ate a big salad I didnt have any thing with chicken and that was fine. I drink ice tea during summer and bought green tea bags. I have a ice tea maker and when it brews and goes to the pitcher, it makes about 3 quarts. I just my own sweetener in my sipper and some lemon. Hopefully that this new regimen I am doing which shed some weight. I also go to the gymn about 4 times a week and do the elliptical for 30 minutes and use my exercise ball at home. Wish me luck with my new schedule and keeping on tract.

I am desperate to lose 10 pounds. I weigh 132 pounds. height 163 cm. And I am 27.
I have tried the south beach diet, It worked but it is restrictive. And I exercise 2 times a week (spinning, walking, abs, squats). I cant do more than that.
Please advise.
Also, when i am not dieting I eat a maximum of 1200 calories, although it is advised I eat around 1700 calories!

I once had a dog that, despite losing the use of both hind legs, still, begged me to workout every AM. He would cry in agony (& wake up the neighbors) if I went out the door without him. I tried pushing him in carriage but, eventually, broke down and got him a doggy wheelchair. After 14 incredible years, together, he finally gassed two years ago...I cried for a week, myself! I have new dogs, now, and they go crazy for our twice daily walks.
If you really want a walking buddy that will give you "support", get yourself a dog (that can last at least 2 - 3 miles). I promise, if you walk your dog, everyday, you'll receive so much "support", you'll be sorry you ever asked! Good luck!View Thread
Today I am making some major changes in my lifestyle and reading up on how to loose weight while on antidepressants. Found some good info in here. I want to loose 20 lbs in 8 wks and get more energy. I am open to reading up on any links or ideas on how to accomplish this.View Thread
Agree with the food groups! I take it one step further and for my "lean protein," I'm vegan, so I have beans, lentils, quinoa, hemp protein powder, nuts, and other vegan protein powders as my protein source.
Agree! Cut out all processed food and sugar! The fat WILL melt away as it did for me. It went away slooowly for me, so be patient, don't give up, eat healthfully, don't worry too much about the scale, just go on living your life...and it WILL happen.View Thread

I'm 47 and need to lose 20# myself... I would love to hear any input you have for successfully losing the weight without starving oneself
I exercise 3-4 times weekly, 30 min each, and am fairly active. Thank you!View Thread
new too

was wondering what you've done differently since your first posting, that has helped you lose the 10 lbs.
Eating less? and/or exercising harder? (ie: jogging/boosting your heart rate higher then previously?)
I am looking for how to get the best results myself...
Thanks & Best Wishes to you in your continued Success!View Thread
I haven't been hungry for three days. The first day I was busy, and didn't eat a thing, and never got hungry. The second, I made sure I ate some chicken, but still wasn't hungry, and only ate 300 calories. The third day, despite not being hungry, I ate normally. Before I got to lunch my stomach was so bloated and discended I looked several months pregnant!
This is not a loss of appetite, its a feeling of being full (sometimes not even full, just not hungry).
I also have noticed increased thirst for several weeks.View Thread
