I had unprotected sex with my partner in the 2nd week of jan. Within 12 hours i took an emergency contraceptive pill. within 1 week after this i started getting slight vaginal bleeding from around 14 or 15 of jan. On 26 jan we again had unprotected sex and i didnot take any emergency contraceptive pill thinking that the bleeding that was happening was my periods and it is safe during my periods. This slight bleeding along with fatigability with no abdominal cramps continued for around 2 weeks till 29th of jan. On 29 jan i started getting heavier bleeding with abdominal cramps similar to my usual periods. Usually my periods lasts for 6 days. But brown discharge with small clots is still happening. Today is feb 12 and i have been having bleeding for almost a month continuously now. Is this because of the hormonal imbalance caused by the pill? But still is it normal to bleed for so long?View Thread
My period was due on the 9th of January, I am usually quite regular. Instead I had pain in my lower right ovary location and headaches and cramps... all the signs of a period. My period then arrived on the 13th. I started to feel sick, the pain on the left increased and I also had pain in the right. My period lasted 3 days and was half it's normal flow, or at least, I used half the pads... maybe less than half, changing them to be clean rather than them being full. I went to the Doctor, he put me on the pill and said to come back in two weeks. In the last week, I am having cramps, they feel like braxton hicks this is the only thing I am able to relate them too. I have pressure down there. The pain on both the left and the right has gone. I am now feeling a bulge above my pubic bone, it seems to be a pointed bulge. It is bigger before I urinate and when I am standing and my jeans have become uncomfortable.
I still have a week before I go back to the Doctor but, this is worrying me now, I feel more sick every day but, I understand this could be nerves. I do not think I am a candidate for hysterical pregnancy. I did suffer 2 weeks feeling incredibly broody in early December but, quickly resorted back to my feeling of not wanting any more monsters lol
The Doctor put me on the pill to ease my "pregnancy" symptoms and said to come back if the pain persists but, it has stopped. Is there anything you can tell me to put my mind at rest? My Doctor gave me a "look" I am nervous about waiting to go back and nervous to go back in case he thinks I am wasting his time.
Thankyou

I had a pap and have to wait 2 weeks to find out if it shows anything.
The bleeding isn't that bad, mostly annoying because it comes and goes throughout everyday without any rhyme or reason.
The problem is feeling so tired, achy, back pain sometimes, stomach pain sometimes, just nothing constant or severe, just annoying..........
I'm so afraid my friends and family think I'm crazy or making up symptoms or complaining all the time.
I keep finding posts of woman that have been bleeding for years for no reason.....that has to be an awful fate to face?
I guess I should just wait for the pap results and go from there but in the meantime, I feel so physically, mentally, and spiritually ILL.
Anyone out there understand any of this?View Thread

On the 27th, I went to the doctor's. I started a new pill pack. I got my period that day. It's been very light. But, it's now May 7th and I STILL have my period! I'm not cramping anymore, but this is abnormal. It's been 10+ days and I still have it. My period is usually no more than 3 days.
What's going on? Is my body readjusting to the birth control?View Thread
5 years ago, month by month, it got worse and worse. My lower abdomen began to swell, and it felt as though someone was stabbing me on each side near my hip bones. I had a pelvic exam, and even the doctor felt something there. So I paid for an ultrasound to check for ovarian cancer, only to find out that they neglected to send it to my doctor, and refused to give me the results.
Symptoms have been compared to endometriosis, but not quite:
* Pain so severe, I can no longer control my legs
* Lower back feels like it's in a vise.
* Hip and leg muscle spasms to the point of never having to work them out. They are always taut and sore.
* Pain and bleeding after intercourse (with a condom).
I'm at my wit's end here, I can barely function as a human being. I suffer from "major depression" and anxiety because I can't control my own body anymore. I go into shock from the pain, and end up hating myself for going into shock and shaking when I try to buy groceries or even work. I would never wish this kind of suffering on my worst enemy. I just need to find an answer so I can start to live again... Please keep in mind that I'm working minimum wage with no insurance because I got terminated for trying to fix this.View Thread
This is the only time this has happened to me. Is this something to get be concerned about? I hate to make an appt. with my ob/gyn and take up her time if it's a relatively normal thing. Any opinions? Thanks.View Thread

My mom finally took me to the obgyn who I still see every 6 months now ( I'm 23 now). His answer to this abnormality was my anxiety was not letting my wall heal up to stop bleeding his treatment , birthcontrol and anxiety medicine. Now anxiety I do have, but I'm older now and I believe I have learned to control that. Anyways since age 16 I've been on probably every single birth control known to woman and I'm tired of it truely I absolutely hate how the hormones make me feel they make me crazy. Now I believe there maybe an underlying issue that he hasn't checked for I did have an ultra sound at 16 that was clear BUT at 19 was hospitalized for 2 weeks ( I couldn't walk from the pain of the 15 cysts on my right ovary) again his treatment ( Birthcontrol). Now I've taken myself off of the birthcontrol 4 days ago completely and only take my anxiety meds when absolutely needed. This period I'm having now is very much resembling before it's very heavy and doesn't seem to let up at all.. By the way I forgot in 2009 I stopped taking the birthcontrol as well , I had my period for 3 months again I didnt really think to much of it due to the abnormality of it all these years ( none of the birthcontrols NEVER EVER regulated me ) anyways I ended up getting sent home from welding school for passing out in class , and my hemoglobin had dropped to I believe a 6 so I was flown home and sent to the er , Iron pills only brought it up about to a 7. I'm so lost I want to have kids one day and I'm scared I won't be abel to I'm not sure what to do.. Someone please help because I think my doctor is clueless.....View Thread
