Hope you are all doing well. Fall is trying to be here, the nights are very cool and days are still pretty warm.
Some of the guys we teach are getting sick. One was nauseaus and had to go home last Tuesday. I was assigned to him and went to stay with him since no one is in home til afternoon. Thursday night I started vomiting. That stopped Friday morn but was replaced by the big D! That's been going on since then. I've lost almost 10 pounds!! I have to sip water carefully or it sets it off again. My daughter got me meds and gatorade, she needs to make another trip to store. I wonder if they would laugh if I tried to get workman's comp for this!! lol I hear another staff at the house came down with it too. I had to cancel all my weekend plans.
It's sunny outside - I do take Hemi out on leash in yard sometimes. When my daughter's home she will. Have a good weekend, LindaView Thread

How are you? Did you ever do anything about your daughter and family? Maybe that's what your working on now? I hope it got worked out. Sometimes something lays itself out for you once you start thinking about it. take care, LindaView Thread

I've been finding puzzles and spelling words to print out to bring to work. The staff likes coloring too!! I did bring some word puzzles for staff to work with. I think it helps us be alert and thinking.....so I didn't tell them I had the answers right away! We organized a "World of Nations" dinner at work. Staff made food from family recipes or from our family background. We made flags of the countries to put up and fed the individuals, staff and office staff.I made Swedish bread, my sis in laws lumpia and pancit from Phillipines. We had a good day-I and another staff set up and dished it out.
I had to get more tennis balls for the dog! Last one was rubber and he chewed it up!! He likes to fetch and is learning to lay down and stay. Have a good weekend and enjoy the cooler weather..(it'll be really cold too soon!) LindaView Thread

I felt pretty good at the baseball game-just got sunburned on my face! Almost half of the animals were sleeping at the zoo. We stopped to eat at the zoo and I wanted to review my pics on camera and saw the battery had fallen out! The door on it was opening sometimes when I took camera out of case so I had to close it. We hoped they had one at gift shop there and were going to check when we were done eating. After the few people cleared out (sat down) I saw it on the sidewalk behind us! Thank you!! I was surprised no one stepped on it! My daughter cut a piece off a bandaid to secure the door. Worked well.
I've been putting some pics on facebook. We saw a double rainbow on the way home. Nice finish! And the fact that I lost 5 lbs on trip. I could tell I was getting wore out from walking! Especially without a break in between days.
take care-LindaView Thread

Had an exciting last day at work! One of the new individuals just can't stay sitting down! He always wants to look at the window and door to see who's coming and going. Gonna have to break him of that! Already made a suggestion to one of the behavior anylists for a program for him.View Thread

I like the cold more too! One more day at work and I can panic!! lol I want make sure I don't forget something I'm really gonna wish I had! ha. Know more about that camera...been practicing on my cats! I can take videos too! I'll find out what to do to up load it and send you guys something next week!

The camera my daughter gave me when she got a new digital started acting up and not working correctly so I just went and got a new one. A kodak easyshare. Looks nice. I would have ordered a different color but it would take a week so the grey looks good! Now have to learn about it!!
Glad I got more allergy pills.....the boys are back! My son and his son trimming in the yard.

We planned a trip to Atlanta-about 51/2 hour drive. Something different every day.....botanical gardens, zoo, aquarium, Braves game.....
We leave on my birthday so after we get there I found a restaurant to have dinner.
Sometimes when I wake up at night I listen to see if the air is ever going to turn off! When I left work today I felt the sun hit me when i walked out the door! HOT! Going to try to go to dinner with a friend from work tomorrow, we have a great chinese place we like. I used to work with her at the house so we catch up.
I guess you could burn easily at the beach on these days!
Have a good weekend, LindaView Thread
