I have ADHD and was diagnosed about 8 months ago. After taking many different med's I think I have found Ritalin is best for me. Taking 10mg. 2x day. This is the dosage that I have been on for about 1 month now. My family see's me going backwards and not being as controlled as I was when I was first diagnosed and was seeing a specialist. I am trying to be more aware of some of my issues like tardiness and making an effort to be on time. How hard should I have to work to see a change in myself? What part does the medicine play? Does it just make me focus and be more calm?View Thread
I had to swith to the short acting med's becuase the Concerta was keeping me awake until 1am. Addaril did the same. I don't do well with to much stimulant or like caffeneView Thread
Thanks for sharing your life experiences. I was diagnosed about 8 months ago with ADHD. After trying different med's I too have found the short release type is better for me. But I was expecting the drugs to do more of the work for me. I was not planning ahead or making changes to my daily routine and wondering why I was still feeling unsettled. I guess I am going to treat this like someone on a diet who has to watch what they eat. Only I have to watch what I do. Thanks againView Thread
