Cobertson1916, The amount of medication you have mentioned is little bit too much for an adult let alone a child of this age. Antihistamines will suppress hives temporarily but in the long run these medications are not helpful , they come with lots of side effects and rebound of hives will be strong once medication is stopped.so it will be worth look for the underlying cause and treat it accordingly.
Hives may cause by following reasons.
1. Cold or flu . 2. Silent infection ( mostly viral) 3. Accumulation of toxins in the body. 4. Dehydration 5. Thyroid issues 6. Continuous exposure to food or non - food allergens. Some of these food or non-food things may start a reaction after 48-72 hrs of exposure , so making a diary and keeping record will be helpful. I suggest you increase the water intake of your son, stop all kinds of sodas and sweet beverages. I have treated lots of cases of hives just by water as water is natural antihistamine and it helps flush the toxins out of system thus reducing and curing hives. I strongly recommend a CBC of blood to check for the infections and thyroid issues,
Glorr22, I am glad water therapy helped you , it also helped lots of people as i posted in various forums and most of them got cured.I certainly can imagine how it feels to be hives free after such a long time ,For me it was only a year of suffering but i can imagine the pain of those who are going through this for years and my purpose of posting is to help as many peoples as possible, God has not created us in a way that we must spend thousand of dollars to stay healthy , the biggest reason we get sick is that we get away from nature and the rules it has set for us. Let me tell you something amazing, more than 90% gastrointestinal or digestive disease including high sugar levels and obesity caused by not eating food properly and can be cured only by chewing the food we eat preperly. each time you put food in your mouth chew it 30-40 times and you will never have any digestive issues and your sugar levels will remain in normal range. try it Cheers to your new hives free life and remember me in your prayers.
Itchymeems, In my opinion you are not sick however If you are convinced that you might be suffering from a serious illness which requires some serious tests and serious medication with some serious side effects then it is up to you.[?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Unintentional Chronic Hydration (UCD) is the major cause of various chronic diseases. UCD manifest itself in the ways that you wouldn't imagine and the disease your MD would have difficulty understanding. How incomprehensible this UCD theory sounds at first is fully understandable and I do not blame those who are skeptical. Matter of the fact is that we all are brain washed ( since our childhood) into believing that all of the human disease caused by some complicated and mysterious reasons which are only understood by the doctors and can only be cured through expensive medicines, such mentality keep us from getting a very basic knowledge and understanding of our own body and how it works and due to this our own knowledge remains very limited on what causes chronic diseases if it is anything other than bacteria or virus. Remember It is all about the immune system which is gone haywired and reacting to everything in different ways such as big hives, small hives, itching, inflammation, chronic pains, asthma, stomachaches, backpains, so on and so on. I have explained the consequences of UCD in my previous posts. Remember the problem lies in your body and not wheat or anything. Once your system is corrected it will stop causing allergies. Regarding your question about 8 ounces, One ounce equals 30ml so one 8 ounce glass will be 240ml. You should be drinking 7-8 glasses (roughly around 2000ml) of water per day Hope this will help.View Thread
