had hives for a year straight went to every kind of doctor and the hospital with no relief then they disappeared.
Got them again 5 years ago and still have them, also tried every specialist etc. was on prednisone 50 mg a day allergy rx ranitidine which somewhat helped but gained over 70 lbs and just felt awful every day.
Well was reading an article about cucumbers, they help inflammation etc. like you always see them on ladies eyes etc. So what the heck I bought some and by the way the english cucumbers last the longest since they are shrink wrapped. I cut just a few pieces and rubbed them on the hives or if they are on my arms I put them on with an ace bandage. Guess what? They work, not kidding you. Takes a few minutes of rubbing and the pain and swelling go down. Have gotten off prednisone for the first time in 5 years loosing weight and just using the cucumbers. Still get hives but they are doable now.
Hope this helps someone because life can be miserable with them.
