Hi
I'm new to this forum and I just came across your post. I was wondering if things have gotten any better for you. I've been experiencing the exact same problem. I try to avoid using any scented anything. I try to be careful about what soaps or laundry detergents I use and how much of it I use. No perfume for me. If I apply one drop of it, I smell like I doused myself with the whole bottle.
Yes, I noticed that I do attract dust. It floats in the air around me and seems to spew out of my hair and clothing. This dust can be seen in bright sunlight and seems to coat everything I own. I see these dust particles in the air in my house no matter how thorough I clean.
I haven't come up with a solution to the PATM problem, but I think I may have an answer for the dust problem. I live in a dry environment, very little humidity. I also own a lot of electronics and have wall to wall carpeting. This creates static electricity which does attract dust. The solution? Buy a humidifier. It puts moisture in the air and gets rid of static electricity. I bought one for my house and notice a lot less dust in the air, flying out of my hair and clothes and settling on my furniture.
I was thinking about buying a very small humidifier for my desk at work, one of those cute ones in the shape of an animal or teardrop or something. However, I don't know if something like that would be permitted. And besides, I work in a cubicle. Not much privacy. I don't want to draw any more attention to myself than I already do. Just trying to keep PATM under control is hard enough.View Thread
