Sorry for the delay in my response but I was waiting for my "person of choice" to ask about your concerns to come back to work. He is a psychiatrist and the head of the mental health department for my company and I trust his knowledge completely. I explained your concerns and he told me that citalopram has a low risk of side-effects on a fetus if the mother takes them more at the end of pregnancy than the beginning but there is nothing that indicates ANY risk to a baby that is conceived while the father is taking it. I hope this helps set your mind at ease! GLView Thread

DD has been sick this last week and while I was out of bed in the middle of the night changing sheets and giving my poor DD another bath the thought popped into my head, "What if I was nursing a newborn and this had happened? I wouldn't have been able to do anything!"
It has opened my eyes up even more that I am not willing to be a part-time single parent with a toddler and a new baby. So I'm going back on the bench waiting until we know what is going to happen next year.View Thread
