Sorry about your pan blowing up, that totally stinks!!! I love Pyrex! I got my pans 6 years ago for wedding gifts and they are still going strong.
Lyndee...EWWWW on the frozen lasagna (AND the fake cheese!) My DH bought the all-skim ricotta cheese once (I use whole or part-skim) and I used it anyway to give it a try. It was awful! I didn't think I would notice a difference but I totally did. I'm Italian though so I am picky about my cooking ingredients, especially for Italian dishes...
I've been in a little bit of a funk for the past day or so. I went off BCP last month and even though I know it is highly unlikely to just "happen" for us I really was a little more hopeful than I thought that we might get PG, especially since if I had O'd it would have been around our anniversary and that would have been nice. I didn't get AF so I took a test yesterday and got a BFN. Not surprised but still a little disappointed.

DH worked this weekend (7p-7a) so he slept during the days and I spent all my time with DD. We went to the pool on Saturday and while we were swimming I learned she has a new name for me. Her name is Juliana so she is now calling me...Juli-MAMA! I think it is hilarious.
That's about it. Happy Wednesday everyone!View Thread

I'd give them a nice card and tell them DH's attendance was their gift. That's costing a lot of money, not including the non-monetary expenses like time, stress, headaches...what a mess.View Thread

When she and her DF first got engaged the plan was for everyone to fly out to Las Vegas (from Tampa) for the wedding. We looked at prices for the trip and we just could not afford it, especially with vacation plans we have already made for just a couple months later. So when we told SIL this she got really upset because she wants DD to be her flower girl. So she started E-mailing us flight and hotel packages she had found and the cheapest one was over $1200 and with the flight times and time changes to and from would end up giving us less than 24 hours in Vegas. So in less than 24 hours we would have to fly across the country with a 2-year-old, attend the wedding, try to see a little bit of the city and fly back across the country. I don't think so! So SIL said she wasn't going to get married without her brother there so <SIGH> she would just have to change it because of us.
Her solution now is to have the wedding on a Friday night and then have the reception start at around 9 or 10pm an hour and a half away outdoors in February. WTH???View Thread
