I will say that children are being taught younger and younger what is sexy and that scares me b/c it also leads to ignorant ideas of what you have to do/be/look like to be the ever so evasive "sexy".View Thread

And Lord child, no way would I be bulimic! I meant barf at the thought of eating right and exercising rather than watching other people do it via The Biggest Loser.View Thread

2. If wishes were horses I'd hope they had a better chance of coming true.
3. I'd like to see myself 50 lbs lighter. Now comes the doing. Barf.
4. When I was a teen, I thought as a teen. Now that I'm a woman, I think as a woman, but still wish I had the slammin' body of a 16 year old.
5. One of my mother's favorite sayings was, well, she didn't have any favorite savings per se.
6. I'd have a hard time doing without my prayer.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to knowing I'm off this weekend, tomorrow my plans include a book club meeting, then getting together for a playdate with Dre and his God brother, and Sunday, I want to get as much homework done as possible!View Thread

Several people don't realize Dre isn't his first name, it's cool. I call him Lawrence when he's into something and I want his attention and Dre when it's cuddle time. I was at a friend's grad party with her family and they were like, "Sooo is his name Dre or Lawrence?"
Really with the Dr. Dre jokes? "It's like this and like that and like this and ah...."View Thread

Before I ever thought I would ever be a mom, the name Lawrence Andreas came to me while DB and I were dating. Lawrence b/c DB wants all his kids to have names that start with L, and I vetoed having a Jr. as well as the "hood" names he had like Latrell and Ladanian. I liked Langston or Landon, but he said those names sounded like he would be destined to get beat up a lot so Lawrence is the only one we could agree on (just don't EVER call him Larry!). Andreas is DB's little brother's middle name and I just love it. Such a beautiful name, and it sounds great with Lawrence. Now we have Lawrence Andreas, or mka (mommy known as) Lo or Dre for short. The name Lawrence is a little heavy for a child, but sounds very nice with Dr. or The honorary judge in front of it.View Thread

We received so many diapers at my shower, we didn't have to buy any for the first 3 months of Dre's life!
Now, I'm just wanting to get this little boy potty trained.View ThreadSee Related Trying to Conceive Communities
