Hi! I am a 17 year old female. I have been an overall completely healthy child for all of my life and even rarely came down with any illness. However, when i was around 8 I went through a short period of having panic attacks. I got over it quickly though and I barely remember it and i had been completely fine for years until about 10 months ago. Now I have been suffering from extreme anxiety for the past four months. I went to a specialized pediatric cardiologist who ran an EKG and and echocardiogram and listened intently to my heart and my pulse while doing small exercises and resolved that my heart was completely healthy and normal and that I had no heart disease or valve problems, that it's all anxiety. I take lorezepam for the panic attacks which seems to calm me down pretty well but I still always feel like I'm having heart attack symptoms. I get random sharp pains in my left arm or jaw or upper back that only last for like a second and sometimes feel chest discomfort or trouble breathing. This is resting OR exercising, it doesn't really matter. I get it everyday though and I always fall asleep without having gone into cardiac arrest. Should I still have cause for concern or should I just stop worrying? Is it possible to have a heart attack when you get these symptoms daily and have already been told you are fine and are a healthy teenager?View Thread
