So, I started with about 6 tabs per day, and also took 1000 units of vit E, vit D, calcium, magnesium, vit c. Within a few months I had NOTHING on my arms! I couldn't believe it! My skin looked much healthier also. When I first started to bleed under the skin, the bleeds were large and took forever to go away. This helped.
I was already in horrific chronic pain; and not long after found out I had low thyroid, no addrenal production, epstein barr; then, I had a stroke, and during that testing found out that the pain in my face was from a cancer tumor removed from my forehead that causes extreme face pain (now diagnosed, after 5 yrs as Trigeminal Neuralgia). Add menopause and severe depression to the mix, and I totally forgot what I had used until all of you sparked my memory! This started at age 47 and I'm now 53 next week.
I am going to try this again. My face, arms and legs are so thin and wrinkled, and scarred and discolored. I can't believe my arms and legs are so bad (they look in the 75 yr old catagory). I wish I could stop the Prednisone, but now have addrenal problems, so I'm on it for life. Why can't someone come up with an alternative to Prednisone! They can fly into space!
Do any of you know of a natural alternative to take that would enable me to slowly reduce the prednisone (I'm on 4 mg/day) and my endocrinologist isn't helpful with alternatives at all. Very black and white.
Also, does anyone know the best type diet or supplement for the torso fat caused from no addrenal production? I look 7 mo pregnant and can't even budge the fat. Being in pain really limits exercise, right now I can't walk, but going to a pain center to look into non-invasive procedures. Surgery is not an option - I would need the whole spine done. I was hit with all of this within a 2-3 year period and had to stop my career in its tracks. There were too many different and life long illnesses that hit around the same time that the pain became so bad.
Well....that's my suggested help. If anyone knows anything about getting prednisone reduced, that would be great!
