Try making a list of items in your home that cause you problems, or that trigger your symptoms. Develop a "road map" to help navigate you through and around potential sources and triggers. Start out by categorizing them simply in the following groups: Biological (mold, pets, insects, allergens, pollen, etc) Particulate (dust, fiberglass fibers, soot, fabrics, etc) Chemicals (detergents, chemicals, fragrances, etc)
Start identifying and tracking your responses. Ask yourself questions, such as, how close can I get to the item before symptoms occur,? how severe are my symptoms,? do I feel better when I remove these items from my home? This may take some time, but eventually you will soon develop a "road map" or guidance document to help navigate you around certain items and their potential effect on you.
