Hi All;Just wanted to write a bit of a note. After 3wks of being off, I have been approved to go back to work, modified and shortened hours but at least back to work. Still not totally sure what happened, other than a possible viral infection. I do think thats what it is but what bothers is that now any time I get a touch of something is it going throw everything out of whack and send me to hospital?? I hope not Still on prednisone for another 16days. And still high doses of symbicort. But no Ventolin for a few days too. And told not to use the adrovent anymore, which is just fine with me, horrid stuff!! So fingers crossed that things go well Kelly View Thread
Hey all;Went through the last 12days of *&^% and still not back to myself as of yet. And still on prednisone for another 11days before getting into the specialist, who opened up a spot just for me, which makes me wonder well, be repeating breathing tests as well as chest X-rays. so I have done all the tests, what is next? Is it just a matter of finding the right controllers. Already on Symbicort (4puffsx2day), Singulair (1aday), Ventolin (which at this time can be anywhere from 2x a day to 4x a day - so yeah no much control). Is there other tests that might occur? Just curious, just trying to figure out what might be Thanks All; Kelly View Thread
Just curious if anyone knows. I have been at 4puffs twice a day for the last 6mnths...still really not all that well controlled. I had about 2months that were really good and now things have all gone to pot.
Any idea what the next step might be, meds etc.
What is the side effects of long term use of Symbicort, I know its not good for ya.
I did this test 2days ago. Just about pushed me right over the edge. Ended up having to stay until things were somewhat back to normal..1.5hr test was 6hour stay. Did however find out that yeah I have asthma ... extremely sensitive airways!!! Still tired, head still hurts and lungs, chest, ribs, back etc hurt too. I know this is just part of the game, have to do this stuff to get answers, but I so could of lived with out it!!
Rather whining this evening so dont mind me, just thought I would share my experience so that if you are going to do this test you might have some idea. I know many folks dont have it quite that hard of a time but I did.
Hey have any of you had this test? I am just wondering exactly what to expect? From beginning to end. Trying really rather hard not to become over stressed and worried about it but well, not working really
Just trying to calm my nerves ... I dont really like the idea of it but if the figures out what the heck is going on then that is what needs to be but but but!!
Lakodie; sounds like the side effect of the steriods .. predinose right. Just went through something similar myself. And just found out the the steroids, were causing garble brains. I would ask your doc when you go in for your follow up so that you have an answer.
I found it took about a week or so, for it to pass. I too thought I would losing it. Not the great experience I ever had.
