As you learn to live with Asthma you will learn what sets it off and when your going to need to use an inhaler. I haven't used my rescue inhaler in about 5 months. I am usually worse this time of year, but I feel awesome.
I don't think anyone can definitely answer your question except her doctor. Everyone is different and Asthma as well as COPD can change over time.
I have moderate asthma that isn't entirely controlled. I am now on Dulera, Flonase, Proventil, and Singular. I have used all the medications you have listed at some point to treat my asthma. Asmanex contains only a corticosteroid steroid, Symbicort is a combination of a steroid and bronchodilator. Proventil is a brand of albuterol that is a short acting bronchodilator, it is typically a rescue inhaler in asthmatic patients.View Thread
Yes. I guess that is why I have struggled with the control of my asthma. Also I don't know if there is a link between my GI issues and my asthma flares but lately I have more problems then normal even for winter. I just finish a week of 50mg a day prednisone. I have never had to do that.
My name is Bianca. I am 27years old, my birthday is in a couple of weeks. I am new to this group. I got diagnosed with Asthma three years ago. I am never in the same environment each day because I work in home health. I am always worse in the winter months because of the cold weather. I can't let a cold run its course I have to aggressively treat it or end up with pneumonia. Its happened a few times.View Thread
