Hello Kimmie, so very sorry about your asthma problems. I truly feel for you. My fear is exactly what you have went through.
My Pulmnoligist sucked. He was the same dang Pulmonoligist that I went to 4 years ago and he did nothing then. He wants to do some asthma shots, which sounds like a good idea, but I dont like him so Im going to ask my Dr. about sending me to a different one. Speaking of Dr.s, I see another one tomorrow. But I know this Dr. very well and I trust her. I know she will do all she can to help me.
I was married to a real jerk about 13 yrs ago. One night an asthma attack came out of no where and it hit me hard. I did breathing treatments after breathing treatments with no help at all. I told him to call an ambulance, guess what? He never did. I think he just didnt want to pay the price of an ambulance. Thank God I divorced the pig and married a really sweet and caring guy.
Thank you so much. I hope you never, ever have to go through what you have been through, ever again. Best wishes for healthy lungs.View Thread
Jimalle, Exercise is one thing that Im looking forward to. Once I get this under control I can walk my dog every day like I used to. Poor little darling is so bored. Also since I have chronic neck and back pain, I need to do some light toning exercises for that. Since this darn asthma flare up, I havent been able to do a darn thing. Im hoping things will be back to normal real soon.
Its strange how easily I took walking my dog for granite. Never thought my asthma would get this bad.
Hello Bresky, funny that you mentioned depression. The BP in my name stands for Bipolar, not a good mix with any health problem. It has depressed me off and on and Ive had days where I just cry and cry. Thank God for my husband. He is so kind, supportive, caring, wonderful person. I couldnt have asked for a better husband.
I have had some stress also. I have chronic back and neck pain and this causes me stress and also can cause a bit of depression at times.
Everyone here has been so very helpful and supportive. I really like this site. ThanksView Thread
Hello Diva, love the name. I have had post nasal drip for a year now, none stop. My allergy pills only help every now and then. I take them every 4 hours. I see a different Dr. tomorrow and knowing her like I do, she will want to do X-rays and allergy tests. She is a very good Dr. I will be asking about allergy shots also. Thank you so much for your reply.View Thread
hhhmmm so they put you on an antibiotic for bronchitis?? When I went to the ER the Dr said not only is it my asthma acting up, but also bronchitis. He didnt put me on an antibiotic. Tomorrow I will be seeing another Dr., she is really good and I hope she can help me.View Thread
ooohhhh Im so happy for you. Thats great to hear and Im sssooo jealous. I have taken advair before and once this darn asthma is under control again, Im thinking of going off of the Symbacort and perhaps trying the Advair once again.
Hey Judy, yes, thats exactly it. The change in breathing. I have noticed that. What a shame too. Laughter isnt the best medicine when it comes to asthma.
My Dr. did put me on an anti biotic and then did a blood test to check for a fungal infection that came up negative. But that was a few weeks ago. I have another apt. to see another Dr. tomorrow and Im sure she will do some X-rays. She is a very good Dr.
Hey there Judy, Right now its very cold and the wind is blowing like crazy. I wont even step out side, no way, no how. I like the scarf idea. When I have asthma problems I try to keep my chest warm, never thought about my neck.
The air pollution can be pretty bad at times. All I have to do is look out side and I can see it. Im usually real careful then.
We are discussing having someone come out and clean our air vents and also check for mold in them. It all depends on how much it costs. We have spent sssoooooo much money on my health problems in the past few months, its hurting us in the pocket book big time.
Your a very kind person and I appreciate the info. and all your help.View Thread
