My little monster Avery is doing GREAT! He is so smart and has grown up so quick. Hard to believe he is 18 months already! He started walking at 9 months and hasn't slowed down one bit. He is currently preparing to be a big brother to a baby boy in September! We are super excited! Have to admit current pregnancy boards are not like they used to be.
Hope everyone is doing well!View Thread

We are doing great! Avery is such a good little boy who only fusses when it's absolutely necessary. He wakes up twice at night to eat and other than that once he's asleep he's asleep! We had a scare with his circumcision with puss but after two days of observation the doctor said it looked to be ok. He still is yellow from the jaundice which I think is slowly starting to get better. We are trying the whole breastfeeding thing but it's not proving to be very successful. For the most part he's formula fed with a couple bottles of breastmilk a day. He hates trying to get the breastmilk himself.
I am still a little sore... I think my stitches are irritating me the most. They are on the inside but they still are itchy and irritated.View Thread

We got to the hospital and by the time I finally got into an exam room I was crying and begging for pain relief. They hooked me up to the monitors and my contractions were over the 100 mark and the lady was like oh that was a big one... all I could think was "no crap lady I feel everything". They kept telling me to slow my breathing and that it was going to take awhile before I could get anything. I continued to beg! I finally got into my room dialated 4cm with contractions still 2-5 minutes apart. They were able to get me an epidural immediately and I was in heaven. The epidural did make me sick so they had to give me some medicine to stop my throwing up. I got some sleep and was able to finally rest. By 12pm the doctor came in and said I had only a small piece of my cervix left and that she would be back in 20 minutes to see if it were gone and then I was going to do a practice push. Well she didn't come back until 1245pm and I was fully dialated. I did my practice push and did so well we just kept going. 38 minutes later he was here!
We didn't get out of the hospital until yesterday because he had really high bilirubin levels and was jaundiced. So he spent 2 days under lights and finally got to a level where we could come home. That was the hardest thing for me to watch. I just wanted to bong with him! I am truly infatuated with him. Words can't even describe. We tried for him for 5 years and finally got him. He is perfect!!!! Thanks for everyone's support during this pregnancy... I was a nervous wreck!View Thread

Baby has dropped and I am 1cm dialated and 70% effaced... I was hoping to be further but I'm not so I guess it's time to do lot's of walking. Everything was good to go! I am ready for his arrival!!!View Thread

- I lost 2 1/2 pounds from last week which was exactly what I had gained in 1 week prior to that... so I think that wsa water weight/ swelling induced weight! She didn't say anything bad about it!
- My BP was normal
- His HB was 154
- He is still head down
- She still hasn't checked me to see if I am dialating... she said she will next week
- I did finally manage an appointment with her for next Friday... she booked me on her personal calendar while she is in L&D so she will check me there!
- She told me to keep monitoring his movements and to go to L&D if I have contractions 3-5 minutes apart to start my antibiotics! I'm excited!
So overall it was a good appointment!View Thread
