Emily- I have heard how awful hot it is out by you. Stay cool and hopefully things change soon. Sounds like you are ready for your little guyt oarrive
Taryn - I am sorry about the swelling. I am sure it is painful and I hope your OB can get you out of work, at this point your misery is not helping you at work anyway. Not much longer!!!
Angie - 37 Weeks (Fully baked, YEAH!)
I have my next OB, BPP, and NST tomorrow. Last week I was dialated only to a 1 and my cervix was high but super soft. I guess I will have to get out and walk more. To bad the heat here is just rough, UGH. I find out my strep B results and it should be business as usual.
I have everything ready to go. I have to do some baby room cleaning, but she will be in our room at first. Otherwise, everything is washed and packed. My DH needs to set-up the swing and bouncey seat and install the bases in the car, so we will do that this weeekend. Getting nervous cause I know what labor is like and I just want it to go well.
Hope you all are doing great and not much longer! Take care and stay cool and rested as much as possible.....

Well tomorrow I have my BPP, NST, first cervix check, and the GSB swab. Sounds like a lot of fun....can't wait to see if anything is going on. I have stopped doing the elliptical as of this past Monday. My sciatica pain gets so bad, I am out for a day can;t walk, lay, sit nothing. Not worth it anymore so I will just walk. Like Nicki, my sugars are all over the board. Some low, some high, just can't get it. I was realeased from the Endo and the Peri since all has been great, but now I don't know what to think.
I sterilized and cleaned all the clothes, bedding, bottles, pacis, and everything else. I also packed my bag, so I feel somewhat ready in case things don't go great tomorrow. I am hoping to make it at least 2 more weeks, but the exhaustion has kicked in. We have had nasty hot and humid weather this whole summer, and I just think my body is starting to not like it. My DD also has a flu bug, so the goal for this week is to avoid getting sick!
I have to clean up the house, and organize the baby room a bit, but other than that just making it through each week. I also need to start walking more again since I am done at the gym.
Good luck girls and another week down! Getting so excited and nervous!
Take care and thanks to all of you for all the support and advice, it has meant the world to me so far!

Sounds like an eventful birth story but with a happy and healthy ending. I am sorry your dealing with the Pre-e, and hopefully your little girl will be able to start up BF'ing with no problems.
Seems like a lot of August people are not making it that far.....
Keep us posted on how life at home goes with your new baby girl. Take care and congrats again!

I have my next BPP on Thursday, but my doc already said if things happen we will let it fly. I hope I can hold out another week or 2. I would talk to your OB and see if she can talk to the Peri, it just seems like an unecessary procedure and risk at this stage in the game......
Keep us posted!

Glad thigns seem to be going well with you and baby girl. I know this is a little late, but I was induced at 38 week.s I was dialated to a 1 or 2 and nothing else. I failed the BPP and NST so I had no choice. I got the cervidel that night, and the next morning they started pitocin at 7. Labor was tough, but not awful. I pushed for 40 mintues andshe was born at 4:20. A 9 hour labor is not bad for baby #1.
Trust your body and like Rhonda said, the BP and swelling is serious. You seem to be naturally progressing, so hopefully you won't have to even deal with this issue. It is tough, but hang in there and good luck. Not much longer and you will have her in your arms and it is so exciting!
Take care of yourself and keep us posted.......
