I have had many problems lamenectomy 1985.1995 major accident resulting in long term hospital care a lot of internal damage and P.T.S.D. dianosed athritus spine, Ostioconritus, 2005/6 had both knees replaced, 2005 30cms removed lower colon divticulitus stopped colon.arthritus moving into body. The last 2 years a lot of pain a few tick bites, one with the symtom classic ring, blood test was close to the positive side, my ankles started to swell each side took it's turn, went in to hospital they did nerve electo testing showed loss on right arm and right leg. a spinal fluid test was made neg result. I was sent to a Rhuma specialist many trials on drugs not responding well. then injections short success, relaps then infussion short success, 3 weeks holiday then another tick bite right wrist begining October 2013. 2 weeks later wrist swelling high pain sent for blood test boriousis. positive Elisa 20.95+VisE Elisa 9.8 Doxycyclin 30days 100X3. all pain stopped after a little while, just a little back ache from a prolaps disc. after Christmas the pain came back till 1st week Jan pain was so high a bit of swelling could be seen and hot. and cold caused more pain. But the problem was swelling started between lower right ribs and hip was getting so bad looked like I was 4 months prenant on side. using support helped, my rhuma specialist when he seen me sent straight away to hospital for possable hernia. clear or hernia, scans, M.R.I showed nothing only disc prolaps mild no major problem. I could see symtoms coming back of the lymes my M.D. would not give more antibiotics tried blood tests but higher results but not conclusive, my rhuma doctor could see rhuma blood test 58 with the pain was before tablets near200. but the pain was if the same. now on Otreon200X2 daily for 30 days starting last night 20th Jan. My question after all this is could the swelling on my right side come from the Borrious? there is also a slight swelling on the left now. so any ideas?View Thread
Thanks Dave. The progress is better seen my rhuma doctor and he gave a new antibiotic my house doctor now has seen and understood the problem better and has agreed to prescribe the antibiotic, so don't have to go over his head for prescribing. I also have Teasel which I hope should help. but the large swelling has them really bothered, but what to do seems beyond normal theropy.View Thread
