When I was in 3rd grade I fell off the monkey bars and landed straight on my back. My father was in the military then and could not get off work to pick me up to take me to the doctors. Even afterwards I was never taken until years later when I complained of major back pains. The doctors told me then that there was nothing I could do because I waited too long. Now that I am 21 and still have back pains (to the point where it wakes me up at night) I am wondering if anything could be done. Is it still too late? Or maybe because medicine has advanced since then there could be a possibility of a change? Is it worth seeing a doctor for?
And just to be clear on how painful it is
I can't stand for more than 15mins without being in pain
As well as having trouble sleeping through the night.View Thread
Your advice on the extra pillows at night sure do help.
I went to see my family doc who did a few X-rays. The disc located exactly where my pain is (lower back on right) are pinching each other. He is scheduling me for an MRI this week. He also gave me pain medication and I only take it if the pain is unbearable.
I am glad I finally went and at least have somewhat of an understanding.View Thread
