I really could use some help right now. I've had a cervical fusion and microdiscectomy in the lumbar spine. The disc unfortunately is herniated again but is manageable. I've had multiple radio frequency ablations, steroid injections, and I cannot remember what the name is, something with facet. Anyway, over time anything that we have tried has been an epic fail. My pain is becoming out of control and I just need some guidance on what we should do next. Getting another cat scan and MRI but they already know about the degenerative disc disease and others. I just need someone that understands to hear me and give me some form of idea. I stay active, get massages, get on the exercise bike everyday. I'm trying to do everything they tell me to do and then some and I'm not getting better. Thank you, God bless y'all and pray all is well. Thank you
Thank you for responding. Yes, you are completely correct. If you dwell on the pain it will find you. I will admit I did that for a year after my back surgeries and nearly died. I had two miny strokes but The Lord showed the way to heal, to keep fighting and I have. I meditate and that has helped more than anything. I stay positive even though I found out there are more than one herniated discs. My leg is weak but I'm still moving I pray you are well and God blessView Thread
You are exactly right. I had a stat MRI 2 days ago and showed herniation on L4-5 and L3. L3 is worse than last year and has caused my muscles in my left leg to weaken where I can't move it easily and my doc has ordered a cane. Jeez, I'm only 37 but I should feel blessed that it's not worse. I may be having a trip to Texas for a doc that will use my own stem cells and prp treatment on the injured areas which are many. It should help. I have faith. Oh, and I had a cervical fusion in a disc in the neck, I can't remember which one in 2012 and 2 months later had a microdiscectomy on L4-l5. Which is one of the ones that are herniated again. I have to see my surgeon but I will not allow them to cut on my again. It has taken 2 years for my neck to finally recover. I've had steriod injections in the nerves, discs, facet joints, medial branch blocks, something like burning something on the facet joints, and so many more that I honestly cannot remember. I once allowed pain to control my life but I'm a fighter. I will overcome. I will not allow this to beat me again. Thank you for your response. I pray you are well and God blessView Thread
Thank you for responding. And I have actually rested, for a change. Lol. Found out my L4-5 and L3 are herniated and the L3 in quite worse than last year. My discs are either herniated or bulging besides one in my whole spine due to degenerative disc disease but I suffered trauma for 8 years that brought most of it on. I'm staying positive and staying down for a few days has helped more than anything. My leg is weakened and numb from the herniation and pressure on the nerves. But my husband found a doc in Texas that does a groovy procedure that he injects your own stem cells with the prp treatment on the injured areas. It's worth looking into. I pray you are well and thank you for responding. God blessView Thread
You are so right. Staying positive is key. I am an extraordinary positive person and try to help others with other or same issues. I have 3 beautiful children and an amazing husband that is my hero. He found a doc in Texas that does prp therapy with your own stem cells and injects them into the affected disc. I had a stat MRI done 2 days ago cause they thought I had some cause equana or something like that. Found out praise The Lord that I didn't but my L4-L5 and L3 are herniated and the L3 is worse than it was last year. My degenerative disc disease is killing all of my discs. I have only 1 disc throughout my spine that isn't either bulging or herniated. I lost all sensation in my left leg and my muscles have weakened due to the pressure. It's even affected my bowels. I didn't even know that was possible until I did the research.
But I do realize this too shall pass and I will be healed. I truly believe the stem cell prp treatment will help. I had the prp treatment on my neck and it has made a huge difference. Thank you so very much for all of your comforting words and uplifting attitude. God bless and I pray you as well find comfort. I would really look into the prp treatment. It's your own platelets and cells mending the injuries. Thank you againView Thread
