keloids to form internal that is also on the pancreas has anyone had this happen or heard of this complication from gastric bypass surgery and if so, any advice or information on how to correct this problem?View Thread
I am wondering what will happen afterwards. I know that it will affect my diet quite a bit and I am trying to get myself into the mindset of having less. What else should I experience and how fast can it happen?View Thread
I know it really takes major life changes to be successful. I was wondering if anyone could give me feedback... positive and negative!
I have been overweight my entire life and feel like I have tried every diet! I just can not stick to anything. It also seems like I never get full.
I am truly hoping I'm ready to make this change. I REALLY need it.View Thread
I am preparing for a lap band. I have been looking into where I can get the calcium and vitamins I'll need. I was told to use calcium citrate. I have only been able to find that in a pill form...not chewable. There is one that has calcium citrate and calcium caltrate in it that's chewable. I wanted to find one nearby so I would be able to get it when I needed it instead of ordering by mail all the time. What are others using that had the band done? ThanksView Thread
I have been in the process of preparing for a lap band. I am trying to adjust my eating as I know how much it will change when I have surgery. This isn't like when you have any surgery and when you feel better you can eat what you used to!
I haven't seen anyone post in a few weeks. Wondered how you're doing. I worry about how long I might have to be off work. Did you tell co-workers and friends about your plans right away? I haven't but I think I'm waiting for the "yes, you're approved for everything" I'll be talking to the surgeon in a few days. LiliView Thread
I noticed that there are long-termers which reinforces my hope that this path I've chosen can make a difference for me for the rest of my life.View Thread
Anyways, I finally got an mri but i was too chicken to ask her about surgery lol. So I told myself that since I have an appointment to see her again in a month anyways, I'd try one last go the old fashioned way before asking for surgery. Well, it's been a week and I am thinking maybe I just should have asked for the surgery. I mean in 26 years there hasn't been a diet that has worked for me and already I am frustrated on this one.
So my question is how do I ask my doctor? I don't know which surgery is best. All surgeries scare me but if it's what works, what else can I do?View Thread
I lost another 4 lbs too to take me down to 226! YAY!
