Angie, I have had a medic alert bracelet for years. They have a lot of difference styles, my is a very pretty blue crystal. You have a choice of listing your meds and/or conditions. Any ER will call medic alert when you are admitted. You can call and speak to a rep.You will be surprised.
I hope you had lots and lots of ice cream. My day is around the corner, so I will be driving up with gallons so we can eat until we don't fit through the door. May babies are the best.
My MIL celebrates her 90th (!) on the 22nd. She is lots of fun, and can't remember anything between the aged 40 through 88. Her wish is to visit one of the Indian casinos to celebrate. Way to go, Hopie!
Sleep: Woke up a few times and took stuff to get back to sleep.
Mood: TRIGGER - Lower than low. Tired of so many things, mostly the sciatica pain. I am scheduled for an epidural shot next Thursday and my pain management doctor is giving me 4 potent pain pills a day, but they really don't help much. I have no energy to do anything, I can't get comfortable, so I am trying to sleep my way through the day. Why the heck did I go through the back surgery? My guess is that my right sciatica nerve was damaged so much before the surgery there is little they can do other than the epidurals. I hope to heavens it does help.
Plans: I have to make plane reservations to attend my daughter's baby shower in June. My relationship with her is strained right now, but I am going to be there and I am sure I will have a great time.
One piece of good news, I got the party for my mother-in-laws birthday party switched to my sister-in-laws house. I have been telling my husband to see what he can do because our kitchen will probably be still under construction. He has been putting it off, which is like him. I finally called one of his sisters and told her about my concerns and she told me that the sister-in-law that lives close to me is willing to hold the party at her house. She has done some redecorating and wants to show off her house. I could not let my husband know I called his sister and set this up, which surprised his sister, so I waited until he went to the store and told him his sister called and wants him to call back. I am so relieved you would think I would be happy, but I still have to face my daughter and get the room ready for her to sleep in. It is stacked with plastic bins with items and books that were held in a built in bookcase which we had removed. I got some of it done last week so I could go out to visit my new baby Rosie, and I want to go again soon, but I have to get more work done and I just don't think I can get it done for a few more weeks.
Weather: Very pleasant. Sunny with a slight breeze.
Sleep: Woke up a couple times, but went back to sleep after taking half a tab of my pain med.
Mood: Very good.
Plans: I am taking myself and my mother-in-law for a routine visit to the doc. My sweet MIL is almost 90 and gets around well but has a serious memory problem. I should talk, my husband took the car to be washed and a half hour later I didn't remember where he went. At least I remembered a few minutes later. I blame my psych meds (partially true) and my fibromyalgia fog (partially true) but I know it is my brain spacing out otherwise. Other than that I think I will be hanging around the house so I don't aggravate my sciatica. Listen to me, I am beginning to sound old senile like Cookie's signature and almost as senile as Goat. (Laugh Goat, that is a joke....or?)
Future plans: My niece was at an animal shelter looking for a new baby. She knew that I was ready for a new little one to fill my heart, and she saw a sweet little poodle who is a snuggle bug, one who hasn't found a lap she didn't love. My husband had told me that he didn't want another dog until our house repairs are complete, which will a month or so. My niece is willing to foster the little one until we are ready. My niece emailed me a photo and you have never seen such a sweet face! The picture shows her head tilted to one side. I still had not said a word about anything to my husband, but I brought him in and showed him the picture and told him the story. He could not resist and he said, "looks like we have a new dog". I decided I wanted to name her Rosie. Rosie is the name my sister (my niece's mother) gave one of her dogs, also a little white ball or fur. I always thought that was a sweet name. One look at this little 8 pound precious bundle of fur, any heart would melt. My niece lives 45 miles away, so I have to wait until my sciatica pain gets a bit better before I drive that far, but you can bet that will be next week. I'm going with my heating pad if I have to. I haven't been this happy since I found out I was going to be a grandmother. As soon as my niece helps me change my picture, I'm going to introduce her to you.
Sweetie, you did the right thing. You were able to know that you were not ready for this interview, and you were able to understand this before you went. That was a smart and brave decision. Like Sarah said, don't beat yourself up. I do this all the time, and you have called me on it more than once.
Be gentle with yourself and know you are in my heart and thoughts.
Hundreds of hugs,

Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.
Weather: Sorry Jess, another sunny beautiful day in LA LA Land.
Sleep: OK. Woke up twice, but only had problems falling back the second time at 5 am. I didn't have a ThermaCare pack to wear. Those things are expensive, but they are wonderful!
Mood: Magic mood surgery. I felt depressed yesterday until 10 pm, when I spoke with an old friend. Today I had to get showered and dressed because a workman was coming to the house. He is running late, so I thought I would use the time to log in and check on my dear friends here. I stopped taking my Abilify today (OK with my pdoc) and I think that has helped. Hell, I don't care what changed, just happy that it did.
Plans: Doing some errands, including the best candy store in Los Angeles, See's Candy. I always get Easter candy there, a tradition in my family longer since the stone age. Then home because the workman just called and rescheduled for later this afternoon'
I know this is a hypo-manic day, and God do I love these days!
