Plans: Hubby has a doctor's appt and we have to run by the bank. Hey, Has anyone heard of a bank holding an out of state check for a week or more? They told us two business days when we deposited the check now they're saying 7 to 14 days. And this is a bank we've used for years. Driving me crazy. Hope everyone has a good day.
feel your pain ddnos. I'm having problems with my pdoc and a med he put me on. Turns out that he put me on 6 x's the daily recommended dose and my body totally freaked out. Like major side affefects freaked out.. So I lowered the dose last night and again this morning and I'm feeling great again. Hope you have better results with your issues. Take care..
Hi guys, sorry I haven't been around much the past three months or so. I just haven't felt like chatting with much of anyone. I have thought of you all, and hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving and Christmas. Matt did the sweetest thing for me for Christmas and bought me a Nook. (Well, they were on sale half price and I kinda bagered him into it.) I absolutely love it!!! One of my favorite authors when I was in middle school and re released my three favorite books by her as EBooks and I was finally able to afford them. (They're out of print and when I can find her stuff lots of times it costs a bloody fortune.) I've also gone back and finally read some of the books I bought last year but never read. For instance Jane Yolen after 20 some odd years finally wrote a 4th Pit Dragon Book and I finally read it. It wasn't that bad, although I still think the first one is the best. I'm also re reading some favs. So that's what I've been doing a lot. Matt got the flu on the 23rd, two days before Christmas and was sicker than a dog. I don't drive and at several points I thought I might have to call an ambalance his fever was so high. But he survived and gave it to me for Christmas. Luckily since I had gotten a flu shot I didn't get as sick as he did. I'm slowly but surely keeping my New Year's resolution to lose weight. So far since January of last year I've lost 20 lbs. My goal is to lose 10 more by May. So how's everyone doing??? Cookie you doing okay? How about you Goat? Taylor how are you and your husband doing? I hope that everyone is doing okay. I miss you guys. Hopefully I'll feel more like being online soon. Take care my friends. ((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Afternoon my friends. I hope everyone is having a good day so far. I am. I just found out I lost 6 more lbs. Might be due to the surgery, but I don't care. I'm just happy I lost them considering I haven't been able to exercise for a month.
Weather: Beautiful. Supposed to be in the 60's.
Sleep: Okay. Was up and down all night, plus didn't go to bed til late.
Plans. Matt bought me a nook for Christmas so after lunch I'm going up to the office to download some books I bought. (we don't have wifi) I've also got laundry going and I may unload then reload the dishwasher and do a load of dishes. Matt had to work saturday and then was sick yesterday so a lot of stuff didn't get done that needed it.
Friday marks a month since my breast reduction surgery and I'm feeling pretty good. My doctor has taken me off most of my restrictions and I can help out around the house again which is nice. Matt has done a wonderful job while I was laid up Hopefully we can keep up the co operation. Although I'm not going to miss carrying in or putting away groceries.
Hope everyone has a great day. And if I'm not on again a Merry Christmas and blessed New Year.
Hi my name is J, or Jessica, I answer to both. I live in the DFW area of the great state of Texas. I've been here 9 years as of Feb and diagnoised bp the same amount of time as of March. I'm married to my wonderful college sweet heart Matt, and we have two fantastic cats Jack and Peabody. Peabody is a very special cat. Not only does he play fetch, but he taught himself to pee in the toilet. Pretty smart cat, uh? I'm a stay at home wife and my husband does security for a company in Dallas. I like to read, play on the computer, and cook. I even make a pretty mean meatloaf. My favorite color is blue, but I look best in red. Well, that's what Matt says at least. Family is very important to me and so are my friends.View Thread
Cookie so sorry to hear that the latest surgery didn't work. Hope your doctor can still do something for you. Matt and I got your card, it was the first one we got this year. We really like it. Your's is in the mail and I hope you like it also.View Thread
Hi Cooksters!! Sounds like you've got a busy day. Here's how mine's gonna go.
Weather: Nice. 60's, but supposed to get down into the 40's tonight. Was driving around with the windows down.
Sleep: okay I guess. I slept in my bed instead of my recliner for the first time since my surgery and my owies didn't care for it to much.
Mood: Matt says manic, I say pent up. I HATE not being able to do for myself so since my drains came out friday and I felt really good, I folded some clothes and cooked grilled cheese saturday. Big mistake. I hurt so much sunday morning I could barely make it through church. But I did.
Plans: So far today we've paid rent, got my hair done, and done a wal-mart run. Matt's fixing me fish for lunch, then he's gonna hit the hay because he has to work tonight. I've already done my shopping on line for my youngest niece and nephew as well as my grandparents, sister and parents. Hopefully we'll wrap the rest of the shopping up next wal-mart run, as we only need gift certificates for the in-laws and my oldest niece. Wish we weren't so far apart. My grandfather celebrated is 89 birthday saturday. I know I saw him in July, but I miss him and my grandmother a lot. Especially at Christmas. So many of my childhood memories revolve around them. I remember when I was 8 all I wanted for Christmas was a Connect 4 game. Well grandpa looked all over K Mart for one, couldn't find it and finally asked a clerk. They were up on the top shelf of the games section where no one would notice them. We must have played at least 10 games that Christmas morning and I beat him every time. I think my mom still has that old game somewhere, probably up in the loft in the garage. Maybe I'll ask her to package it and my other games up and send them to me. But enough of that. Hope everyone had a good thanksgiving (I did) and ya'all have a nice week.
Sleep: Okay woke up in pain several times. Almost out of meds, can't wait for friday to see doc and hopefully get some more,
Mood: kinda out of it from the pain meds.
Plans: try to do some laundry to help Matt out. He's been a gem helping out around the house. Will be glad when I can wash and brush my hair again though. Been watching a lot of movies. I've seen all the Twlight films and all but the last two Harry Potter. Wish we had a better internet plan so I can watch stuff on the computer, but alas, I can't. Other than being bored, I'm doing okay. Hope my friends are okay. Take care guys.
