Debbie I love that picture!!! I used to have a cat that looked just like the one in the picture and he would sleep in the strangest places.
Weather: COLD!!! Fall has hopefully finally come to DFW. I'd say it's in the up 60's and may get as low as 60 itself. Love it!!!
Mood: Kinda on the sad side. My back has been bothering me again, which has got me down.
Sleep: Pretty good. For once the cats let me sleep in.
Plans: Right now I'm at our apartment complex's office typing away. Once I finish here it's back to the apartment to work on the novel I'm writing for a while then reward myself a little by watching the original footlose. Sometime I have to make cookies for a church function tomorrow. Don't really want to to go anymore, but i signed up, so I guess I'm going. Hope everyone has a good week-end.
Thanks for the input Dr. G. In what little research I've been able to complete (techinical issues) I've learned that this is just too big a subject for me to tackle and portray accurately. I've decided that since my main chacter already suffers from nightmares linked to seeing her mother severely beaten when she was 12, that I'll just have her see a therapist to deal with them. Especially since she's mainly a perky happy most of the time gal. Thanks for the encouragement. Hope your week end is going good.
Dr Goldberg, I'm a journalist by training and both my high school teacher and college professors said I had a real gift for the written word. Anyhow, to keep myself entertained as well as give myself something to do, I started to write what I hope will become a published novel. Only problem is I need to expand it a little, because right now it's about a third of the length it needs to be to considered for publication. My protagonist gets really bad nightmares which are a result of hearing her mother being beaten by the villain when she was 12. Would it be believable to turn the nightmares into a symptom of PTSD? Or can you suggest something else that might work in this situation? I want to keep my story real, so any advice would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Man, the board really has gone down in the time I've been gone. Anyhow, couldn't see a post for thursday, so here goes.
Weather: Hot. Supposed to be nice this week-end. Like 70's nice.
Sleep: Funky. Didn't go to bed till 4 am, woke up at 10:30 was up a bit then napped all after noon.
Mood: Up and down. Been in and out of depression past month or so which really sucks.
Plans: Matt's been on vacation all week which is nice/sucky. Been fighting a lot. Today plan on working on my novel that I started three weeks ago, doing some research for it, and saying hi to my friends on the board. So hi friends on the board. Hope everyone has a nice rest of the week. Later.
Morning my friends. Yes, she's still alive. Moody, but still alive.
Weahter: Hot as hell. Cooler yesterday, supposed to be in high 90's today, then work up to low 100's. Yuck.
Sleep: okay I guess.
Plans: Out running errands with hubby. He heads to Micigan tomorrow for his Grandmother's memorial service. Lots to get ready. 5 days of no Matt. Yea!!! Computer has got a virus so combined with that and me not wanting to get on much, I've been out of touch. We hope to either buy or fix the blasted thing by the end of September so hopefully I'l be on again soon. Hope everyone has a great Labor Day week-end. ((((((HUGS))))))) to everyne.
Cookie, have you changed your e-mail address??? I've sent you several e-mails over the past few months and gotten zero response from you. Totally understand if your pain has been too great to sit in front of a computer. I've been taking a break from the ol' laptop myself. Hope you're doing okay. I lost your phone number when I washed our cell phone several months ago or I'd just call. Take care my friend. Wishing you health and happiness.
Weather: Hot. Miss the cooler temps already that I enjoyed in Indiana.
Plans: Laundry, laundry and more laundry. Got home late last night from my parents in Indiana and got the best gift of all. A clean house!!! I have the best husband in the world. Really enjoyed my time with my family. Got to spend a whole day with my grandparents and spend some time with my great aunt and cousins. Trip was both too long and too short. My hometown has changed yet stayed the same. Had a really good time. Today I'm resting up and getting ready to tackle the week. Hope everyone had a good week while I was gone. Take care.
