I was on Lyrica for Fibromyaligia, not for Depression, although it's prescribed for Anxiety too. I'm currently am not on the medication any longer, it worked for a few weeks and noticed that it really wasn't helping with my pain. Now I'm taking Hydrocodone & Predinsone, although it takes the edge off I still need a med change soon, the predinsone has made me gain weight & also I don't like the way it makes me feel, and the side effects aren't good. I did discuss with my doctor so at my next appt I shall see what develops..
Let' continue to spread the word.. Mental Illness Awareness Week. So many people are uneducated on what 'Mental Illness' is, and also how one get's it. Let's remember, for those who do have Mental Health issues, you're not alone, ongoing Education & Support is what's needed throughout our communities.. We all can make a difference...
I've taken Lycria for 2 yrs, and at first it worked fine for me, of course with all medications they may need to be adjusted over time or all together try a new one that helps. Currently I'm not on it, now I'm taking Hydrocodne, which takes the edge off, and other than that it's pain 24/7.
Side effects for me we dizziness, lightheaded, trouble concentrating, which after bringing it to my doctors attention the medication was adjusted,
I hope you feel better soon. Consult your doctor & perhaps see if an adjustment need to be made or trying something new.View Thread
