My Story:
I am 43 years old (as of 2011) and was diagnosed with Bipolar I in January, 2004. However, I struggle much more with depression and in the first three years of diagnosis I was often suicidal.

Things improved, I got laid off and went back to school and graduated with a Master's in Public Health. For my thesis, I had the wonderful opportunity of working with a community mental health agency and did a great paper on mental health recovery. I wanted to get my PhD in Epidemiology and study mental disorders, but a really great opportunity opened up in Ft. Lauderdale, FL in February 2011, so I have been here ever since.

So far I have done well with my move -- I'm able to thrive at work, but I need more than that. I take life way too seriously, don't relax and laugh enough and love to learn new things. My goal is to be feeling good....want to always be growing and learning new things!
