Sorry to hear of your Mom's illness. Try talking to her without your father around she might feel like she does not want to discuss it when he is near. Maybe "girl talk" she might open up. Also tell her no matter what she say's you accept and your questions will help ease your mind and worries. If she talks about it she may even feel better, its hard for her to say the words I have cancer again. Starting with "please help me help you" she took care of you when you were young and now its time for you to help her.

I have not started the arimidex yet I had an appointment but cancelled because my father died the day I was to go. And now I can't seem to pick-up the phone to make another appt. I also have fibromyalgia that was brought on by the chemo treatments and have gone off medication for that so I can tell if the pain is part of the fibro or is it the arimidex. No part of cancer is easy.....View Thread

God knows what you are going through - you do not walk alone.
He's sent you lots of company - an unseen host unknown.
Yes, you have your family and friends to lend support -
but the company I'm speaking of is the unseen, heavenly sort.
God sends special angels - so loving and so dear -
to walk with you along this path so fraught with doubt and fear.
They may be those that have gone on, that loved you oh so much.
Or other souls that Heaven sends to give that special touch.
But know they are around you - upon your left and right,
to carry you when you can't walk or feel you cannot fight.
So don't despair and don't give up -they're there through thick and thin.
And with your BC angels - this battle you will win.View Thread

I was bald last winter and now I have the poodle perm do. I have had 2 trims and all they did was make it curlier!!! Go to walmart they have fleece type hats in the handbag dept for only a few $ each I think I had 6 colors and wore them around the house but if I went out I always wore my wig. Also turban's don't look too bad if you turn them around and have the band at the back of your neck and you can tuck it in back there for a better fit. Good luck with your treatments.View Thread
