You gave me way more information than I can
absorb. Thanks for trying.
The dirt here is very hard. They call it Caliche. It's
like concrete. I actually had to get a pick axe to
plant some extra flowers when the builder was done.
It took me six hours to plant six 1gal. flowers.
I have never tried it again. We have a planter that goes
the full length of the back wall and we had someone come
in an plant various trees and flowers. I have to buy
basil in the store already picked unfortunately.
Thanks for trying to help though.

Can you believe, only 18 more days. I'm getting
anxious about it though.
I'm so jealous of you and Roberta being able to
grow Basil. It doesn't matter I bought enough.
I'm going to make the dish today.
Thanks for the support. You are the best.
I hope you are feeling better. Darn snake! And Darn
Flip Flops. Please don't wait to be checked out if you
continue hurting.

I got very frustrated yesterday.
Tell us about your three year old. They can be a
challenge but mostly a pleasure and lots of smiles too.

Hi Jenna,
I have been watching the weather. I pray you don't
get the hurricane but I'm afraid it's heading your way.
My son lives in Florida and he has a tree company
and eighteen employees. They are getting ready
to head to Northeast. He does a lot of work for Femma.
It's still very hot here. Today another 115* day. Hoping
for a cool down but not expecting it. I can hardly stand
to be outside too much. I'm glad we have desert landscaping.
I have some artificial grass in the back for Ziggy. We had
it installed almost two years ago. It looks and feels real.
And it serves his purpose. It stays pretty green
and I clean it will Lysol spray and then hose it off. It's
great. It makes me feel cool when I look at it. I'm afraid
if we had real grass it would be dead. All our plants and
Trees have their own sprinkler so they stay alive and green
and flowers do really good to. Bob doesn't miss mowing
the grass.
Jenna, how are you feeling?
I'm starting to get a little anxious about my surgery to take
out expanders and put in implants. This will be my fifth
surgery since Jan.
My oncologist was really nice. He listened and actually
answered my questions.
Thanks Jenna

My visit with oncologist went great. He actually sat
down and talked to Bob and I. He wants me to try
Tamoxifine for a couple of weeks. He said it is
the same type as Fareston. It shouldn't affect m
muscles like the first two did. If it doesn't work he said
I can try the Fareston. The big difference is price. The
Fareston would be $180. a month and the Tamoxifine
would be $6. a month. He wants me to redo my blood
tests and come back in six weeks. He really listened.
That was refreshing.
The weather is still around 115*. It's been a rough
week. They said it should cool off to 105* on Saturday.
Once it's ove 100* what difference does it make? The
weather people are funny. Forcast - REALLY HOT!
Hope you are doing good Jan.
I'm on countdown now till surgery - 18 days

I wash everything with a little soap and water and
rinse with the spray in the sink.
I have always done that. Even my cantalopes,
grapes, etc. I am so afraid of contamination. Our
fruits and veggies usually come from Ca. but some
come from Mexico. I don't buy to much from Mexico
but if I do I wash them very carefully.

Having trouble posting. Shopping is a challenger.
Have to go early or you fry outside when getting into
car. At least when we leave its in the garage.
New Oncologist is supposed to be the best in the
group. They have four offices. I don't know how you
endured bad one for six years. I'll keep you posted.

Roberta,
I have been trying to catch you for a couple of days.
I went to grocery yesterday, thought of you, bought
some fresh basil, small pkg, 3/4 of an ounce and it
cost me $2.88. Can you believe that? Did that come
from your garden? If it didn't, you need to ship me some
and I'll sell it and we can get right. some of my prescriptions
are cheaper than that. LOL! Better be a good recipe.
I got my surgery date today.
Sept. 12th. I thought we could go together, but I guess
not. Tomorrow I meet new Oncologist. Looking forward to
that. I think!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope you are doing well.
I have been having trouble with message boards also.

bring him back inside. Can you believe it. 12lb. Malti Poo.

We were here in Las Vegas whne the earthquake
hit in Northridge. We felt it here. I was very shaken
by it. I can only imagine how you felt living there.
My daughter lives in Bedford, Virginia and she
said they heard a loud noise and then the
windows shook in her mother-in-laws house.
Nothing broke though.
I'm glad it wasn't worse.
