I am so glad you posted ! There are others on the boards here that are also from Boston, if I remember correctly. Hope to hear from them as well.
Glad you are ok.
I had been at the grocery store & this happened while I was gone . Simply horrifying is all I can say.
I just saw on our local news source online that when the explosion hit, one of our hometown runners was right there almost at the finish line. His name is Bill & he is 78 yrs young. He is in an orange tank & was knocked off his feet when the explosion hit. His Granddaughter has since posted that he has scraped knees, but otherwise is fine.
Sending many prayers to Boston & all the people involved.

Congrats on both your "5 year" & "50".!! How exciting

You are not crazy for remembering every date, I do the same, therefore I would be looney also... Imagine that
I am joining in on doing the Happy Dance for you & am looking forward to the Chocolate Fest & other "treats" that go along with your celebration....Wink, wink.
Have a great day & celebrate all month long !!

Thank you for all the well wishes for my mamm on Tues.
I am a little more freaked out this time....imagine that !
Dr said that normally cysts cause pain & not cancer. But of course I did a little reading, and found that is not always the case. We shall see.
Roberta, poor little Kaiden
It has to be especially miserable for him because he wants to be on the move. I hope he starts feeling better soon ! On a happier note, our youngest son graduated college today, he busted his buns & finished a quarter early. Yes, we are very proud of him.
I hope everybody has a great weekend & gets a little Sunshine like we had here today.( Even though it snowed yesterday) Crazy Mother Nature!!
Take care,

Spring, really? It snowed & hailed in parts of Wa state yesterday & today. Go figure.
I know what you mean about the mammogram anxiety. I had an Onco check up & they found a tender spot (tender is putting it mildly, when she hit that spot, I just about came off the table) on my left breast-the side which I had lumpectomy, So now Tues I will be having diagnostic mamm & ultrasound.
Sending good thoughts & prayers to you tomorrow

Take someone with you to Dr appt tomorrow. It helps to have another set of ears that might hear something that you don't..
I started a notebook (that had different sections & pockets) took lots of notes, leaving room for answers too. You can write down questions to ask & have somewhere to keep test results & any printed info they will give you. And remember....NO question is too stupid to ask !!
My best advice is to try and remember... 1 step at a time, take things as they come.
I am glad you found this site as you start your journey. The Ladies here are wonderful.
Sending good thoughts & prayers your way,

I had Radiation, no chemo. The best thing my Rad nurse told me to do take care of your skin (where they will be directing the Rad) your Mom can start this before treatment. Unscented lotion, something mild & same for showering. I used Dove unscented, sensitive skin body wash. I also got aloe vera gel - make sure & get one with no extra ingredients in it. When my skin got a little pink or was irritated I would mix up extra strength cortisone cream with neosporin pain relief cream. That worked really well for me & is easy to put on because it spreads easy & is not thick. I really had no problems at all with my treatment. If you have any other specific questions feel free to ask.
Take care

I totally agree with what you said. It was so nice to have 1 thing in our lives that did NOT change. Up until January, that is

So sorry to hear about your Mom.
I love the fact she left detailed instructions on her service, sounds like that was just "her"
I hope the weather does not turn nasty for your travel to the service.
Sending good thoughts & prayers as always
Take care
