My Story:
In 2004 I had invasive ductal breast cancer with lymph nodes positive, mastectomy, chemo, refused radiation, expander, reconstruction, tamoxifen, and aromasin. Even though I had friends (they really didn't understand), I felt all alone. But I had my faith to stand on. I tried going to a cancer support group but it was too depressing. Since I had no one who understood, I spent my days reading about those who struggled with cancer and won. But books are no substitute for real people who can say I've been there and I will stand with you. I really like this community. Keep up the good work of friendship, info sharing and encouragement.

I am a missionary the jungle area (Peten) of Guatemala. We minister to the Mayan people who live in thatch huts, without electricity or water or cars. I am involved in a enriched rice program feeding 500 malnourished kids, growing Moringa trees for treatment of malnourishment, sponsor cleft pallet screening for corrective surgeries and run the pharmacy in village medical outreaches.
