Just an update. I have had 3 chemo treatments so far I am feeling fine. I get tired but that is really the only thing. My 4th treatment is 2/1 and then on 2/15 I change to a new mixture so let's see how I do with that. That chemo is suppose to be easier. Let's hope I have the same luck. I will have 4 treatments and then chemo is completed.
I had my head shaved last night and I must say I like the look.
I feel very lucky and blessed that my chemo has gone as well as it has. I'm working and so far so good.
I want to thank everyone for their support and advice it has helped greatly.
Rachael, I have been relaxing and taking care of me. My son has been here to do things and bring lunch. He came with me to my first chemo and then the next day to get my shot. He was been my rock.View Thread
Thanks Cindy, I will cherish the title of pink warrior. I was nervous because this was my first treatment, but I actually watched as the nurse gave me the drug in the big tube. I usually don't watch things like that. Now I know what to expect during the treatment so I should be more relaxed.
I was nervous getting my shot but that was a pinch and was not as bad as I thought.
I had my 1st chemo treatment this morning and the nurse said I did very well. Was a little nervous because my port was a little sore on wednesday and was not sure how it would be on friday. It was fine.
Have a slight headache otherwise doing okay so far; Drinking lots of water and been eating small things.View Thread
Thanks Roberta. I have many compliments on my attitude and my team is a possible group. No negativity allowed. My sister had a difficult time accepting my breast cancer when she first heard it crying and stuff. I know I had 5 days to think about do I have cancer so when I got the results I was okay, my sister had a couple of hours when I told her. I told my brother she had 2 weeks to get herself together. She is fine now and very supportive.
I thinking going back to work makes my normal again so if I can do it I will. After all the wondering advice I am getting I have no doubt I will be able to work during the 8 treatments.
Thanks Roberta. I am staying positive. There is nothing I can do about getting the cancer, so I am fighting it. I'm stronger than it and will do what I need to get better which I am on my way. After the surgery I was moving around even if it was just to get water in the kitchen or get the mail. My son and sister waited on me and it was nice at first but I knew I need to do some small things myself.View Thread
