About 2 weeks ago, I noticed a lump in my breast. It is not painful, but it does start to feel somewhat uncomfortable when I am wearing a bra. It has felt either more defined or larger in the past few days. My family has a history of breast cancer. I am 36, and I had an aunt who past away at the same age. I am getting pretty nervous about this, but I am needing to hold off on going to the dr. I don't have insurance right now, it starts in a month and a half. I am afraid that if I go now and it is cancer, that my insurance won't cover it because it is a pre-existing condition. Can waiting another month and a half really make that big of a difference?View Thread
Rachel, thank you for pointing that out. I haven't really figured everything out on here and I am not familiar with any financial assistance etc. Hope you have a great day!View Thread
Thank you both for your response. It sounds like wise advice. I haven't made an appointment yet. As much as I want to find out, I am afraid of finding out. I have 2 children, and it scares me. I am looking to see if I can find a breast specialist in my area, if I can't....I guess I may settle for an appt with my ob/byn. I will keep you posted. Thanks again!View Thread
