I'm glad you & your mother are doing well. It's hard to NOT get frazzled over any type of screening!
Take care & God Bless you! JeanView Thread

So, now I have some research to do and I'm asking everyone here what their thoughts on the Tamoxifen regimen are.
I hope everyone is doing well!

So nice to hear from you! I'm doing well...sort of. Not due to this tho. I had surgery 9/10 for a thrombosed hemorrhoid. Most painful thing I've had to endure to date! Spent 11 days in the hospital. If it's not one thing, it's another. So, I'm recovering from that now.
Missed my return appt to the breast doctor, which was that week but was able to get in to see her 9/26...thank God! She's very difficult to get an appt with. I'm actually seeing her NP, but that's ok...the doctor is in the office that day, in case any questions arise.
It's so good to hear from you....thank you for the post! I want to keep in touch too and please know that you're in my thoughts also!

So, they put you on Tamoxifen? That's what they're talking about with me, too. We'll see after these appts.
I'm glad your Mom is done with her radiation. Hope she continues to do well.
Thanks for the positive vibes! I'm thinking everything will be what we already know, too.....

I'm doing well. I see the genetic doc on 4/12 and am having the breast MRI on 4/9. Not gonna lie, I'm nervous. BUT what will be, will be! We'll see what happens from here. I will let you know once I know something.
Thanks for asking...

The genetic testing I believe is bloodwork. They're looking to see if I carry the BRCA1 or 2 marker. I just wish I knew definitely whether any of my Aunt's or cousin's ever had this done and whether they know or not! My family is so NOT normal LOL! I actually had an Aunt tell my sister (when she was asking about breast C history on my behalf) that breast cancer is not inherited! My sister said she's never speaking to her again! Ha! I just sit back shaking my head....
You have a wonderful weekend, too!

I hope we can keep in touch, lotsastress (sorry, don't know your first name) and share our stories.
I live in NY and am loving this winter, too! I'm in central NY and get the lake effect from lake Ontario. NOT this year! YAY!View Thread

I was just wondering why the Tamoxifen if it isn't cancer.
I'm glad things worked out well for you!
All is well with me...thank you for asking! Haven't heard back from genetic doc yet and don't have my MRI until April.
Have a great super bowl weekend!!View Thread

My CA125 test came back 11.6. As 0-30 is considered normal, at least they have a baseline to go by. Just have to follow-up with another pelvic ultrasound in 6 weeks and they're keeping an eye on this ovarian cyst. Oy! I've had enough of the poking and prodding too!!
This itchy breast is driving me insane! The cortisone is not working and I have to see breast doc today to see what's going on. I have a rash on my breast that has spread to the middle of my chest and the benadryl is not working either. Just need relief...
Again, thank you to allView Thread
