Hiya Sistah! Last name is Barnes, so tag me up on FB.
That goes for any of you other sisters out there. Look me up on FB and let's be friends!
Cheers!View Thread

We are still living and loving the full-time RV life, in New Jersey for a little over a year as an on-site security team. Life is good!
Last year I became an American Heart Association CPR Instructor and have been having a great time sharing CPR skills. Still blogging, my latest insanity is to participate in the A-to-Z Blogging Challenge going on this month. Drop over to my blog at Phoenix Once Again to see me stagger my way through the alphabet through April. The letter C will be about cancer and my views/experiences as a survivor.
In addition to all THAT, I'm diving into the world of Web design and social media management, having been asked by the owner of the rigging and demolition company here to put in place a program for him.
I have been on Facebook quite a while, reuniting with high school friends, work friends and so many others from days gone by. What a hoot! Feel free to look me up there if you wish.
Although I am not around here too often these days, I do consider myself a survivor and an advocate and supporter of those going through the cancer experience.
I think of the ones here I know by name and the ones I may not have met who have joined the Sisterhood. I wish you all more good days than not, peace, strength, love, light and laughter.
Love and gentle hugs to all,

I don't visit here often these days; guess Life is just keeping me busy!
You can read our holiday update letter on my blog site by clicking here .
Although I may not pop up here often, I do think of you all frequently.
I wish each of you a 2012 filled with love, laughter, peace, health, prosperity, strength and hope.
Love and gentle hugs to all!View Thread

Went to Lowe's today to pick up a couple of items. They were having some activities for the Susan G. Komen organization. Figured I'm a 10-year survivor and it's my birthday, so why not donate the five bucks for a manicure? Turns out they made the donation for me, I got my nails done free, my photo taken and "Happy Birthday" sung to me over the store sound system! There are some perks to getting older and being a survivor!

Rest easy, Sister.View Thread

Just stopping by to say we are enjoying our new lifestyle.
One of the big bonuses is the lack of stress compared to the life we were leading. We both sleep well, wake refreshed and have really no work-related stress. I'm feeling very good, my IBS has essentially vanished (it had flared in for several months prior to our new adventure) and I no longer snore! Whoohoo! Stress is a very naughty 5-letter word.
We're presently in South Carolina through October working a night security gig and loving it. You can follow our adventures on my RV blog here . There's an article I wrote about satellite Internet posted on a third party site here - so tickled they invited me to contribute! Whoohoo! My first article published by a third party on the Internet!
You veteran warriors out there, keep the faith and fight the good fight. All you new Sisters, remember there is life through and after cancer. Remember that you are not alone. Cherish each person and each moment as they come to you. And by all means . . .
Carpe diem!
Peace, strength, love and light to all,

We got a phone call from our dear friend Tuesday en route to an RV dealer in a nearby town, taking the rig in for some warranty work. We're all in the same town right now?!?! Who would have thought!
A wee while later, JD showed up at the dealer and we all headed to a local restaurant for the best bought-out breakfast we had experienced in, as Dave says, "donkey's years."
Great conversation, lots of hugs and yummy food....does it get any better? I think not!
Thanks again, JD. Looks like we'll be here a while, neighbor!
Love to all, newbie and veteran Warriors!View Thread
