Good for you for not letting anyone convince you to stop pumping or breastfeeding! You are doing what is best for your son, and you should be proud of that. You breastfeed that precious baby for as long as the two of you want to. There will come a time when you are both ready to give up that last feeding, and it won't "mess him up in the head" to nurse until that time comes.View Thread

My only advice would be to take a home pregnancy test as soon as you can, so you can know for sure. I find it a little bit odd that you haven't started your period back up after 16 months, so even if you are not pregnant, it would be a good idea to be seen by your obgyn for your other symptoms.View Thread

Breastfeeding is so much more inexpensive than formula feeding that I would try this approach first before going to formula. I hope things go well for you.View Thread

I am exclusivley BFing my 5 week old DD and have been very careful to stay completely away from caffeine for fear of how it would effect her. When I was at a friend's house yesterday who also has a 5 week old baby, she made the comment that she couldn't get through the day without her caffeine (in the form of Pepsi) and it got me thinking that maybe it's not as bad as I originally thought. I've never been one to drink caffeine everyday (or even every week), but I was wondering if an occasionaly soda would be okay. What do you think?View Thread
