1. Sodium bicarbonate is worthless in preventing cancer.
2. There are many different types of cancer. One cannot lump all cancers into the same category.
You are at the age (15) where young folks often begin to worry (sometimes excessively) about their health and diseases. I know...I did when I was your age. I went through a period of time where I was sure I was going to die of, well, EVERYTHING. I'm not kidding...a backache meant I must have MS, a lump here or there cancer, a headache brain cancer.
Finally I got tired (at age 14) of waiting around to drop dead. That was almost 50 years ago and age 63 I'm still alive and somewhat kicking.
What different things are the pulmonary specialist, oncologist and surgeon telling you?
The fact that 3 of these lymph nodes contained cancer cells is an indication that the disease MAY have spread beyond the lung. Has it? No one here can tell you, including (it would appear from your medical team) your physicians.
Frustrating, I know but the problem with lung cancer is that by the time it is diagnosed it has often spread through the lymph system to other parts of the body. That's the stinking problem with this particular type of cancer.
