If the villi are inflamed they dont expel digestive enzymes. Fresh papaya, pineapple and kiwi conctain a lot of enzymes. We would cut one of those freshly ( a few bites ) with each meal. Also I found a liquid multivitamin and sublingual B12. The b 12 especially helped. His doctor asked how we got it so high. We also started yogurt (with live cultures) and acidophilus to bring the other part of system back in shape. I also made a vegetable soup packed with vitamins and lots of fresh fruit. Thats what we did and he reponded right away. He is doing good now. Also of course being sure to be gluten free. Hope this helps.View Thread

Celiac is sometimes activated fully after a crisis.
You mentioned stomach biopsy, but did they do a small intestine biopsy? this is usually the concrete diagnosis for Celiac. You are definetly naming malnutrition problems associated with Celiac. They now have a camera to look at the digestive system from one end to the other. It is painless, you only swallow a small pill (camera). Maybe you should ask for that.View Thread

What do you eat? Could you be pregnant or have any hormonal issues? Have you been checked for anemia? Find a good doctor that is actually interested in helping you. Celiac can cause many problems due to malabsorption among other things. All of this needs investigated for you. Many doctors are quickly in and out, not giving the time or interest to investigate a case like yours that may take a little time. I urge you to find one who does.
One thing you might try in the meantime. Eat only real food, small amounts and add a small amount (1/4) cup of fresh digestive enzyme foods such as fresh papaya, pineapple or kiwi each time you eat. If that helps it is a big clue.View Thread

My husband had this for 55 years of his life and we figured it out 2 yr ago and got the diagnosis. He is much better now.
The right doctor is the key to your problem.
Just because the corn, porkchop, and potato dont have gluten does not mean anything. If your gut is inflamed from celiac it has a hard time digesting "any" food.
Hope this advice helps.View Thread
