I've been diagnosed with Celiac disease for almost 5 yrs, along with Crohn's. I am extremely careful with my diet, yet still have bouts where I am prescribed Cipro & Prednisone. It seems I've developed a rather fast moving peripheral neuropathy. It began as just numbness in the feet and hands. Has progressed to slurred speech, complete body numbness, uncoordinated gait, muscle tics/spasms throughout my entire body.
Has anyone else any experience with this? My doctor doesn't want to run blood work until I've taken Gabapentin for a while. I tried the lowest dose (100mg/day, was to be increased to 3x daily) and took myself off after 4 days - massive depression and horribly over emotional.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I've an appointment with a different physician Sept 4th, in hopes that "fresh eyes" may help. Am hoping that my neurophathy is not permanent.View Thread
Yes, that is my belief. Doctor is dragging their feet and ignored the early symptoms I told them of for the past 6 months. I've an appointment with a new physician on the 4th. I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue.
From what research I've done, it's not wise to take Cipro and Prednisone at the same time.View Thread
