I am 5 foot1 ,8 stone ,age 48 but very healthy other than this which i was diagnosed in 2011 since then i have been on 3 different statins and lots of other medicines from the side effects of the statins ,from swelling to ankles and knees ,sore bones on elbows ,really bad depression and know my arms i have trouble with i feel there is muscle damage .
How much carb should you have and fats in a day ?
my cholesterol was 12.1 in 2011 and my triglyceride is 3.4View Thread

I have experienced lots of bad side effects from taking statins ,i have tried taking policosanol with coq10 but eating what i normally eat but my cholesterol went back up to 8.4
After a bit of research on the internet i found intermittent fasting to be good ,1 month in with only taking opti omega 3 and fasting every day eating between 11am-7pm my results are from 8.4 to 7.9 fingers crossed this will work and then i can hopefully repair the damage the statins have done .
My doctor said she never thought of the diabetes diet and she has okeyed it for my to try ,but my bloods have to be checked every 2 months .
What does anyone think or has anyone else tried this ?View Thread
