In Maryland if you have a doctors note, you can have Marijuana.
1.the entire list of side effects makes my jaw drop
2.it doesn't mix well with seizure meds
Having Social anxiety sucks and wanting to be outgoing but somehow not being able to is even worse.
I hear about how so many people tried Medicinal marijuana and how much happier they are.
I don't like drinking, but I have to drink when going to see friends cuz if I don't I don't talk to anyone.
I just want something to help me and do more good than harm.
Would it work? Anyone try marijuana and have social anxiety?View Thread

I am a 25 year old Male 5"5 about 165lbs. In March of 2011 I had blood work done and my tests came back with no issues other than a high Bili at 1.4mg/dL. My blood work at the time showed my AST & ALT levels were at 21 U/L.
I have been having a little pain on my sides for a while now maybe 9 months or so. I have also had times in the past where my eyes turn green naturally yellow and skin turns yellowish. I mentioned this to my doctor and she had some blood work done to test liver and kidneys yesterday. My results came back today and my AST was at 311 U/L (average range 15-37) and my ALT 142 U/L (average range 0-40). My Bili total was 1.2 mg/dL.
This has me very concerned and my doctor said that I need to stop drinking and take another test in 3 weeks to see if the levels go down. I have been drinking anywhere from 1-4 nights a week and drink between 6-15 shots when I drink. Usually tequila or other shots. I have also used drugs in the past like ecstasy, cocaine & marijuana.
While my levels are through the roof I have recently started to weight lift and take different supplements and weight loss products. I am wondering if the huge spike in my AST & ALT is linked to those supplements and pills I have been taken.
How can I go from 21 AST & ALT to 311 AST and 142 ALT in 6 months. I guess the fast that they were normal 6 months ago makes me feel better but I am obviously very concerned about this.
I took a test for all the hepatitis's today and those should be back by Monday. I will have to stop drinking and taking everything for 3 weeks and test the ALT and AST levels again and see where they are at.
Does anyone have any experience with this or any ideas or tips on whats going on or what to do. Any response would be much appreciated.
Thank you!

Feel free to tell me if I am posting in the wrong place. I have left the hospital after several surgies to repair damage to my right lower leg and foot after being struck by a roll of construction/landscape wire that fell from a cliff behind me while I was watching my kids surf at a beach in Marin County. I have had three surgeries to-date. I am now recuperating at home. I felt a littel blue this morning and recognize that the really hard work will be in the ever so slow process of healing and to much time to ponder things that might make me blue so I decided to go on this forum and interact with people. I would like to hear thoughts on ways to stay positive when you must mostly rely on others for most things. I have access to my laptop so thats a positive : )View Thread
