I had my surgery on the carpal tunnel one week ago, and have wizzed thru that. It's actually better than I thought. I go next week to have my soft splint taken off and the stitches out. He found that my nerve was badly damaged. I'll talk to him and see if there will be any ill effects from the surgery.
The week and weekend before the surgery I worked like a crazy woman out in the yard trying to finish all that I started, forgot all about cleaning the house,LOL. So it still needs it bad.
We got Trevon to State Police camp and dropped him off, his mom was ready to cry and that had me choked up, so I had to hurry up and get out of there. He had so much fun, he graduated on Saturday so I made the 4 hour round trip to go watch. He sure was saying a lot of yes sir and yes mam's. His dad said that he could just keep that up!
Hubby finally got our upstairs bath gutted out. Oh we found mold, so have to deal with that and make sure we get it all. All that's in there is the floor joices and wall studs! I'll be so glad to get it done so I don't have to wake up to potty and run down stairs!
We've sure had some storms roll thru here. They don't usually bother the dogs but last night we had a bad one with wind gusts up to 60mph. They sure had their ears up and seemed a little nervous. Several tornados were up north of us.
So that's me in a nutshell, I hope and pray everyone is okay. I'll read up later when I get back home. Take care and hugs all around. Toodles........
Hugs and Misses,

I have been very busy, well hubby too, his "honey do" list has been pretty full lately.
We have planted so many perrenials, shrubs and trees. Then over the weekend, we dug up old grass and weeds and replanted grass seed in several areas. I am done for this season!
I am really pleased with my new rheumy, she did tweak my pain meds and it has made a big difference. And they best thing of all, I only had to wait 20 minutes past my appt. time, not 2 hours like the other rheumy! She did tell me that the staff at the other place was the biggest problem, they are ruining his practice and running off patients, like me!
My shoulder is finally healed since the surgery, about time, it's been 3 months! Now I am going for the surgery on my hand on June 8th. All this on my left side, humm wonder why? My left knee is still bad, holding out on surgery for that until I can't walk anymore!!
Me and a friend are going to a giant flea market at the state fairgrounds. We are taking Milt's truck just in case, lol! I don't know how long I'll last, but it'll be fun and different. If I make it an hour I'll be as happy as a pig in slop! hehe
We are sending the oldest grandson to the State Police summer camp, it's only a weekend. We sent his dad and he had a great time watching them blow up things, dog training, ect. He'll have a good time, but probably be homesick!
I've been on FaceBook too much of the time, getting addicted to the games on there. But I'm cutting down my time, my eyes are going bad, too much playing, ya think?!
Hope ya'll have a safe and happy Memorial day weekend... just take time out for rememberance.

I think since we are all so different, yet alike.. that whatever works for you, you should do it.
I might try to help hubby outside in the yard a whole day, but only make it until afternoon then crash the next day.
I can't say how long I've had this and the FM, but was dx in 1996. I do think that a persons symptoms can wax and wane. So you might have periods of good time, then over-do, it's a vicious cycle.
Any way, nice to meet ya, I'm an oldie here too.

I sure felt better taking it, but the weight was getting me down more in my back and legs. It took a while for my body to adjust to not taking it.
Don't give up... try watching your carbs, anything white... sugar, flour and potatoes. Hope this helped ya!
Huggs,
Kim Oh BTW, nice to meet ya!View Thread
