Well, day two (or 9 depending on how you count it)...she's still hacking up a storm at night, but the days seem a bit better. I got her to her pre-admission testing yesterday for her coming knee work, and today she's got to go back in for a drip of some kind of iron supplement as her 'reserve iron' level is low...not anemic though...this will take 3 hours...depending on how foggy she is from the cough meds or how much she's coughing once she's up and around will determine if I take her or she'll drive herself. Hard to stay in your lane when you're trying to bring up a lung...then again, I may not give her the option...I may just drive her in anyhow...we'll see.
It's official...she's got a big, honkin dose of Bronchitis. She saw the doc today and he gave her some Anti-biotics, Muscinex DM and some cough med with Codeine....hope that works for her. I got about 3 hours of sleep last night because of the coughing....eh, I'll sleep good tonight (I hope).
Hey, as long as he/she's happy with it and the check didn't bounce...that's all that matters. I got a rusted lawn clipper I can sell the guy too if he wants...it's got wheels on it! Only looking for 500 for it
Hmmm, I don't get it...66 Chevelles aren't really all that rare...I used to have one...blue...good runner and got decent mileage as long as you kept your foot out of it.
I don't get it, but as long as you're happy with it and he's happy with it..that's the main idea. Maybe the condition of it was rare?
Right now, She's got some form of the plague, been hacking for a week and busting up her sleep (and mine), lots of body aches, etc. She goes in to see our doc today to find out what's going on and see if something can be done for it - simply. Yup, I'm still the same evil, nasty old cuss I've always been, except that now I just growl at the mailman and don't bite him.
I dunno....with my reader (Ectaco Jetbook Lite), I read just like I do a book, like Caprice said...only difference to my eyeballs is that it's lighter than a book and I have to turn it on...otherwise, samey-same (and I can't rip a page either).
Of course, now that the price of the Kindle is down...I'm starting to get a little 'itchy' about it...I shouldn't...mine works fine except that I can't d/load books on line..have to get them online on the computer then transfer them to the reader. Plus, I've heard that some libraries are going to offer titles for the Kindle too.
Sorry to hear that your emphysema is giving you a rough time, I've been there. I'm glad to see you back on.
Not sure how I missed this post when you first put it up...certainly would have liked to have been in the original welcoming committee.
Not a lot new going on....our little one is now 3, and Amy says that she's up to her chest in height already (yikes!...what's she feeding that kid?), we had Mary's Mom down for a week this past week, and she took her back yesterday...they both went to our nephew's wedding. A week or two ago, my MIL's brother had his 100th birthday...he's still up and chugging along, lives by himself, drives, does his own cooking, visits his sis (Mom's 96 now).
Mary's going in to have her knee replaced next month, so I'll be the 'Charge Nurse' for a while as she's recuperating.
Right now, we've got 65 degrees and it's pouring. We've noticed that the birds have all been bunching up lately, so we're thinking that we might have an early fall...it's ok by me, I don't like the hot stickies either.
So, just wanted to stop and say howdy to you...glad you're back on. Don't worry about being MIA....you show up when you can, as you can.
