This site used to have the smiley faces as easy access and then they were taken away. Jim listed how to make them with the keys (which I just found his post on the side) I'll try to see if I can make a smiley ,)

Guess not. How do you get the smiley's to appear? Obviously I'm missing some important step. How computer illiterate I am, YikesView Thread

Spent a few hours at my Aunts house making maternity pants for my daughter and then began the packing process of her room. Donated 8 bags of clothing (large trash bags) and got one closet cleaned out. Didn't get home until 9:30 last night.
Today I will be taking her to a Dr.'s appointment and then I have to go to a wake. Of course the two are at opposite spectrums of the World, or so it seems. In between that time, I'm hoping to work a bit more on her room but it doesn't look promising.
Anyway, it's 2 a.m. and I'm exhausted but can't sleep. I have to take Hubby to work so I can have the car. I selfishly miss having two cars.
Ok, I'm done blabbering.
If anyone's out there, wishes for a peaceful day are sent to you.

Yes, this is a very slow moving board and many have wandered away.
thanks for the response

Started with the FM board and am so happy to find that this board is still in existance with familiar names and newbies. I always felt more comfortable here but it nearly went extinct a ways back.
Lots of things going on in my life (STRESS!!!) and needed to re-connect/connect with those that can understand what it does to us. Also, hopefully to be able to reach out to those that need some cheering and understanding as well.
Can't promise I'll be here every day but I'll try to make a concentrated effort.
Jim, how are those aliens treating you??? Watched an interesting Brad Meltzer show the other night about your space friends.
Take care all

Where we are, the winds should only be around 25mph and showers on Friday.
I hope we get more rain than expected. I feels like the desert here and not New England!View Thread

By the time Earl hits here, we should be down to a tropical storm. That being said, winds could still reach 75mph. We sure need the rain, though.
They are closing the ferries in Rhode Island and on Cape Cod tomorrow. So anyone in Nantucket either leaves tonight or there riding out the storm, literally, on the Island.
When our dogs got yappy at nothing, we would hold their snout closed for a sec and say no! Sometimes it worked others it didn't. Usually, we found the cause of their barking and felt stupid for getting irritated at them.
Are you expecting any kind of storm your way? It could be "in the air" as you have suggested.
Take care,

I've read the posts and want you all to know that your in my thoughts. I just don't have the energy to reply to everyone, sorry. I'll try to in a day or two.
It's been a brutally hot summer here in Central MA. We are now bracing for the Hurricane that is coming up the coast. Hubby and I are going to the Cape after Labor Day and I am keeping fingers crossed that the weather will be nice and there will not be too much damage from Mother Nature.
I'll be very happy when Fall arrives and the humidity goes away for a few months. A few more days of 90-100% humidity expected in our area. Lungs do not like that.
Although, I am very-very grateful for AC; I can't wait for the natural cool breezes to be coming through my window!!
Peaceful thoughts to all,

My paternal side of the family is from Canada.
Someday I'd love to visit the area where my roots are from. The farm is no longer run by the family and not even sure if it's a farm anymore.
I'm with you on your choice of area's to watch fireworks from.
This year we didn't see any displays! Maybe next year.View Thread

As Jim says, lungs are not going to like the heat wave we are coming into.
Warm today but not muggy yet. That's expected to roll in tomorrow. Hubby has one day off this week and we may be heading to the beach.
Keep cool everyone!
Happy Independance Day!!!!View Thread
