Just popped off an e-mail to you with pic's from my hometown.
The Resevoir is over capacity and causing the Nashua to flow it's banks. The pictures on the bottom are my daughter's storage facility where 300 units have been flooded. She has most likely lost everything in it.
Hope I did it right. It's now 2 p.m. and I started fiddling with the computer around 11, YIKES!!!!
It's Chow Mein but whatever way you spell it, I'm sure it tasted great!!! I used to work in a Chinese Restaurant. That was my introduction to food service at the ripe age of 17!!!
I don't like cooking for myself either. Rather cook for 300 than myself.
I made hubby Chicken Fried Steak last night with mashed potatoes and corn. Of course, it was topped off with a white pepper gravy. He said it was, YUMMY!! Glad to please.
Tonight will be Corned Beef and Cabbage!!! Either you love it or hate it. I found a non-preserved, no nitrate Corned Beef. Saved me the trouble of brineing (sp) one myself. I plan on that in the future, though! The cost was $4.99 lb. Much more expensive but I'm only feeding two.
I made Hubby Bay Scallop and corn chowder a few weeks ago. Still have some in the freezer. Thinking of making him some scallop cakes when I get ambitious.
Don't forget to check your e-mail for the pic's I attempted to send your way!
Mary will be home soon and you will be back to the enjoyment of cooking.
Take care,

I'll keep that in mind.
My dad is a machinist! We used to have a Ray-O-Vac factory in our town. That's where he learned his trade. Made lots of automated robots at the end of his career with another company.
Yes, I have your e-mail!!!!View Thread

I wish you were in my neck of the woods. Sharpening knives is an art!!!! When I was in the "work force", my favorite person to see was the knife guy! It was like, "yahoo, the knife guy is here"!!!
Sounds ridiculous, huh? Yet, very true. He was the most appreciated person that I had to deal with!! Loved my freshly sharpened green handled knife. I was devastated when my chef's knife eventually turned into a regular use knife.
If you have some mom and pop restaurants in the neighborhood, it may be worth a call to them as well. Nothing like a sharp knife!!
Your supper sounds yummy. I always leave the pans for last as well.
Our weather for today sounds similar to yours in regards to temps. Although, there isn't any sunshine. I'm getting restless for spring blooms. I know it's early. My lilies and Iris are appearing. My aunt has started her tomatoes and they are about an inch tall. She plants in a wheelbarrow and puts them in and out of the garage as the weather allows.
take care,

Nice to see you checking in. I haven't been on much myself. It takes me awhile to get used to new and better(?) things!!! Hope I can adapt to this format eventually. It just seems a bit distracting and I'm having trouble focusing on the posts themselves.
Keeping you in thoughts and prayers!!!!
Thank you for the CFS/CFIDS links. I have them put in my favorites for future reference. I think I'm in a bit of a flare. Can't seem to focus well and energy is sapped.
Hugs,
