I am not sure about that but people usually say 10 days after last pill...but for me ovulation happens day7 after last pill so I suggest you to check after day6 of last pill.i guess may be between cd16 to cd 21.View Thread

I was on 1000mg of Metformin and I was regularly going for blood tests to check whether I ovulated or not ....and found that i was ovulating between cd 25 to cd 30 and hence used to get my periods late .......so last month my dr increased my met dosage to 1500mg and told me since the dosage got increased i would get periods on time but now this month i didn't get my periods and blood test say that i did not ovulate at all(today is cd45)so now he prescribed provera 10 mg for 5 days to get my periods....
My question is does the increase in dosage of metformin effect my ovulation?like before at least i used to get delayed periods now they have stopped altogether .......l am very concerned about that. Also how long does it take to start periods after taking provera 10 mg for 5 days...View Thread

Thanks for the reply....yes my Dr prescribed Clomid this month.....so i will be taking Clomid along with Metformin this month.
But i found little difference in taking clomid this month ie, in past i took clomid from cd3-cd7 but in this cycle my Dr want me to take from CD4-CD8(may be she suggested depending on my blood work i am not sure)
After i spoke to her i felt really bad because when she told me "take clomid from tomorrow" i thought may be she is thinking that today is CD2 so i told her today is CD3 and you want me to take clomid on cd4?i asked this twice(as i was concerned) but i think she took it wrong way she just answered me that you need to believe Dr because they have Degree(in harsh tone)....though i know there is nothing wrong to clarify my doubt still i felt bad because i didn't mean that way but still she took it that way.....also this is the second time she felt that way .....
Sorry my reply is too long just felt i need to share this with some one who can understand ..... because every one here know how hard is this infertility journey and we have so many concerns regarding our cycle and medicines and it is only on Drs we all trust and depend on and we expect them to really understand our concerns.........View Thread

First of all Congratulations ........I can understand how worried you are as i too experienced m/c and i know i too will have same feeling when i get preg..........i just advice you not to think in negative way....don't think because it happened twice it will happen again also try to talk to your dr about all your worries ......take care ...

Also from past 2 months I have been getting spotting and cramping at cd30 as though my periods starts but actual period is starting at cd37or cd45....i know when we have pcos periods are irregular but i couldn't figure out the reason for spotting on cd30 (with out period).....I tried to discuss all these things with my doc but she didn't give me any answer...View Thread

I just want to share little information I know....
Are you sure she kept you on clomid again in same cycle if yes i don't understand why did your doc put you on extra dose of Clomid...I think if your follicles are not matured enough at cd12 she would have called you for u/s again on either cd14 or cd16....as far as I know if you have 32day cycle you can ovulate any day from cd10 to cd21 and my doc told the follicles size grows 2mm each day ( usually it varies for each women for some fast and for some slowly)and once it reaches max it burst out and you ovulate....also usually they do progestrone test on cd21 after all these tests If they think you have not ovulated then increase the dose in next cycle.... With Clomid even I had cramping and I think that is due to growing follicle ....also I think during ovulation you get cervical mucus (this can also be indicator of ovulation)....
I am not sure of using clomid twice in cycle .....Any way I think every doc has different way of treatment ....keep us posted and let us know what happened. Good luckView Thread
