I use water with a bit of baby oil in. I like the way the bay oil smells in the warmer, and it seems to make the poop wipe off easier. I like them, and even though I sew and could make something else I don't think I'll bother. I have about 24 I use right now, and another pack I bought when a babies r u went out of business. I even have an extra warmer and some wipes I've been wanting to use to make make-up removing clothes for myself in my bathroom.

I've never posted here before, but I was hoping someone could help me. We really want to use cloth diapers, and thought that gDiapers sounded like such a convenient system. We've been using them for about a week now, and some days we've had very frequent leaks. Today, for example, my daughter somehow leaked through ALL the covers we have, so now she's wearing a disposable (a.k.a. a "500-year diaper") while the covers are being washed. It's very frustrating to want to use a system so much, and then have it not work. I can see why people use disposables-- I just really don't want to!
I'm waiting for membership acceptance into the gdiaper Yahoo group, and hopefully I can get some help there, but thought I'd check here, too. We've invested about $130 into gDiapers already, and the thought of spending even more on another whole "system" makes me sick! We have used both the gDiaper cloth inserts & the biodegradable inserts, and both seem to have leaking issues. My daughter is approximately 3.5 weeks old, and weighs around 9-10 pounds. She's wearing the 8-14-pound small size. She seems to leak most around the waist area when she's laying down. Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated!
Thank you!!

I've discovered I love pocket diapers though, and wanted to let all of you know there's this new brand I've tried that are cheaper and pretty good. They just updated, so the old versions are selling really cheap. Here's info if you're interested:
NEW Version Doopsy OS Pocket Diapers available at www.BabyEcoMart.com , OLD version starting at $11.97View Thread

If you are really into prefolds and covers I have heard it's easy to fold the prefold and avoid the stump and here is a wrap that comes with a umbilical notch cut out.

I have only used the Fuzzibunz once. I got it in last week and I am not a fan. The gdiapers are a blue and a green. I have used them a few times, also not a fan. They have never fit my LO right.View Thread
I know Mother Ease sells swim diapers. They snap closed. Wee Bunz has swim diaper on their site made by Bummis that has velcro closure.
Also to Deborahann - most pedis recommend waiting until a baby is 6mos old to swim because they have a hard time with body temp or something like that. So if you're due in July he probably won't get in the pool until next year.View Thread
I was thinking of getting some AIO BumGenius diapers that are sized but didn't want to spend the extra cash. But then I found out we're having twins in August so I am thinking it will be worth it. But I have so many other diapers I am not sure. I love the idea of an AIO where there isn't a cover to attach or a insert to stuff but hate spending the extra cash.View Thread

The growbaby that Roni recommends has a ton of reviews.
There are also hybrids where you just lay in a prefold or insert and go. flips are very popular: www.cottonbabies.comView Thread

Covers: Washed separately as the diapers (except with BG since they are AIO) and laid on dryer to dry. I only have a few. I usually just wash them with towels or kids clothes as long as no poo is on the cover.
I usually wash every couple days when used religiously. I have been very inconsistant since becoming pregnant and have relied a lot of disposables. Now DD1 is potty trained so DD2 is the only one in diapers. I can probably go close to a week or until the diaper pail is full.View Thread
