Sorry to keep going at this Dr. Moser, but I had a rough time last night with tinnitus.. sleeping wise..slept for 2 hours then I woke up and couldn't fall asleep again.
Was it a coincidence that the tinnitus came 2 days later after I took the Amox-Clav? or was that the result of the fluids/hearing loss that triggered the tinnitus? Are drug induced tinnitus irreversible?
As far as my ear goes..there is still hearing loss (muffed) I would think that after 17days it would be a little better.. The tinnitus is still a VERY loud ringing..now I can hear my heartbeat also.View Thread
When mine ruptured it leaked a lot...i put a half cotton ball in the ear and it would be soaked in 15-20 mins for 5 days and it slowed down by the 6th day and almost stop when the ENT suctioned the rest out. If that was leaking that much, it would definitely be an infection, no?View Thread
oh boy, it's been 4 days since..maybe a stronger pain killer from your doctor....I think I read somewhere the hearing lost depends on the size of the rupture in the eardrums..did the ENT tell you how big the rupture was?
I guess I can take my wife's advise and NOT read the internet about tinnitus...it's driving me bonkers! read some many people horror stories of people having it from one eardrum rupture or infection.View Thread
I believe it was the q-tip that did the rupturing...kinda confused if i even had an infection in the first place. there was virtually no pain or any indication of an infection..I had an infection that I remember was when I was in my early 20's. and i'm sure I had 1 or 2 as a child. I can't believe all this is happening from a ruptured eardrum/infection. thanks Dr. Moser appreciate all the question.View Thread
