I also had a flu shot 10/29/12 today is 2/10/13 --3.5 months later still significant pain in shoulder in particular with movements across my body(seat belt, or putting on jacket), and sleeping. I had a very healthy shoulder and have taken the flu shot for 10 years. This year the shot was well up toward my shoulder joint and burned the moment of the injection, the next day it was like someone had hit it with a baseball bat! I'm certain either the needle was too long, or the injection was in my shoulder joint or both. I'll never take a flu shot in the shoulder again!
An MRI a month ago didn't show much, maybe some inflamation in the bursa. Sports Orthopedic guys said just to take Advil & try to "work the arm" and push thru it. I'm very active 53 yr old, but feeling much older with this thing. There is a gov't website to report bad flu reactions, suppose I will do that. This is very discouraging..and from a Flu shot! can't even brag about some dramatic sport accident!! Will it ever be normal again, I'm doubting.View Thread
